Chapter 2

hi guys this is chapter 2 ;) it really is this time :)

Alyssa's POV:

I sit with my back against the tree trunk. This was probably the best hiding spot we could have found. It was Layna who spotted the tree. She saw the thick vines hanging down and pulled them off saying they could be useful later on. When she pulled then off they revealed a huge hole in the tree. Not so large you could walk in but big enough for Finn to squeeze through. If Finn could get through we all could. He entered first and the rest of us followed. It was big inside. Very big. It was one of those huge trees. 2m by 4m big.

As I sit inside now with the young ones Jacob and Tag, we wait for the others to arrive from hunting and gathering. We agreed to leave a junior with the minis at all times.

We use names to decide who does what. Riegan and Finn are the seniors of the group, Me, Layna and Elise the Juniors and the boys are Minis. We mostly rely on the seniors to protect us all but Layna and I are also quite skilled.

I sit weaving the pile of tall grass together until I create a carpet for our hollow tree. The ground is rough but with this big mat it should be better. Layna and I both collected backpacks from the cornucopia. The others picked up little things or weapons. The minis got a loaf of bread and a knife, the seniors got big weapons and Elise picked up a small bag containing a water bottle, a pack of dried fruit and some wire. We don't think well need the wire but who knows. When we found our tree Layna and I sat and looked through our backpacks. Together we have 2 sleeping bags, 2 water bottles, a packet of dried fruit, a pack of dried wafer things and some rope.

Hopefully this will be enough to get us through.

Hi guys, I'm sorry it's been ages please don't hurt me. Haha. I just couldn't find the time, to write. I actually forgot about this for a short while until a good friend of mine reminded me, after reading the first book in about a week. I know it's short but I wanted to write something for you guys. Hopefully I will have more readers soon.
