The Cave: Chapter 1

Lily's Pov~

"1...2....3.....4......5.......6.......7" I heard faintly as I kept on running.

I quickly ran into the forest trying to get as far away from the base as I could.As I was running, I felt like I wasn't in control.Someone else was running for me, but it felt amazing to run.Like I'm running toward freedom.

I look ahead to see a cave and I stop, I don't know why, but it felt like I was being called.I mindlessly wander into the cave until I tripped.

I lay on the floor of the cave with a diary in front of me.I curiously look around to see nobody around just a normal cave, but there's drawing.I dust off the dirt from myself and look around, forgetting about the journal.

Are the drawings of hybrids and humans?Humans don't exist anymore, they died off centuries ago.They were too weak to endure the tough environment.I kept looking and I see something that baffles me.Humans and Hybrids were fighting.

That's not what the textbooks say.All history books say that they were extinct.Hybrids even tried to help humans.Why would someone draw this?

I then remember the journal.I quickly look around trying to remember where I last left it, when I finally spot it.Thereby the rock that I didn't notice when I first came in, well until I tripped on it.

I snatched it up and shake the dirt off of it.I flip the book to the first page and there amongst many snuggly lines I catch the name Rose Orchid.

"Orchid?But how?My last name is Orchid?Mom never told me anything about anyone in my family named Rose"

My brain was completely scrambled.

My thoughts quickly faded when I hear my name being screamed out by multiple people in a chorus.

That's when I remembered about the game.

Wait, should I tell them, they'll think I'm nuts though.What should I do?

"Lily come on out, your the last one and it's getting dark we should go!"I hear my friend Alexander call out.

I'll think about this on the way.I quickly transform into my wolf form and pick up the book, so it lays in my mouth while I quickly head to the others.

I quickly spot the others once I see a light up ahead, figuring that it was Mary in her Phoenix form lighting the way for everyone.

I got my way over to them and transform behind Alexander.He must not have noticed because when I tapped on his shoulder he jumped pretty high making everyone laugh.

"Where were you.We were calling you for ages" He asked trying to push the fact that he got scared out of the way.

"I hid,"I said honestly

"What's that?"Asked Forest, Oasis's little sister, pointing to the journal I found.

"Something I found" I answer unsure if I should tell them.

"Lemme see" Alexander says snatching the book out of my hand.

"Alex give it back" I whine.

"Not until you tell us what it says"

"Fine" I say in defeat.

"I know it's a Journal that belongs to someone named Rose Orchid, I never got the chance to see what else it says"

"Orchid?Isn't that your last name?" Ally asks.

"Yeah, it is"

"Could it be from someone in your family?"Questions Oasis.
