Chapter 1

"I'm late!" I screamed as I ran out of my room. It was already 9 a.m and I had a class in 10 minutes, not to mention I was half dressed and my hair probably had a bird or two in it.

"I charged your phone, it's in your bag and I put in your homework as well, here," my best friend and current life saver, Angel threw a protein bar at me.

I squeaked as it hit my face, " ANGEL OUCH!"

"Stop being a baby and hurry, also zip up your jeans," she giggled.

I mocked her zipping up and straightening my jacket. Shoving my feet in some flats I grabbed my bag and quickly unwrapped the protein bar, "love you, bye."

I heard her shout something as I ran out of the apartment towards the University campus.

Just before I reached the classroom, I paused as I remembered a crucial and hazardous point, I forgot to drink coffee. Just as I thought this I tripped and fell face first on the floor.

Ouch, I thought looking up to make sure no one saw me.

Phew, I brushed off some specs of non-existent dust before walking inside class.

Made it! I grinned internally fist pumping.

I skipped towards a seat and sat next to Alec, Angel's boyfriend.

"Hey fee," he grinned, his pimples popping out.

"Hi hi!" I giggled, "how are you doing this terrible day?"

"I'm great, how are you?" He questioned, leaning back in his chair comfortably.

"I'm awful!" I groaned, letting my fake smile drop, "I woke up late and I couldn't have any coffee."

"Poor baby," he frowned, "we can get some after class?"

Okay, pause everyone. My best friend hit the freaking jackpot with this guy. Not only is he sweet, kind and totally hubba-hubba, he's also understanding and a great friend. Jackpot people, she hit the freaking jackpot!
