Nothing too eventful happened for awhile. It seemed like it would be a normal school year, 'til about two months in where everything had to go wrong.

(At a prefects meeting)

"So you are probably wondering why I have called you here." Professor Dorta-Isturiz began. "Well, yesterday, a young boy was attacked here at Hogwarts."
Suddenly everyone started talking.
"That being said" Professor Dorta-Isturiz shouted getting everyone's attention. "we want you all to be on high alert, we have taken extra precaution and have increased Hogwarts defenses. Curfew is now 7:00 meaning they must be back in their common room by that time. I'm passing out the improved set of rules, please read over them and make sure they are enforced. Seeing as that's all, you all can head back to your common room."

As the prefects started filling out Professor Dorta-Isturiz called out "Except for James, Nathan, Lauren, and Marsapenny. I wish to talk to you four."

Once everyone had left except them, Professor Dorta-Isturiz jumped straight to the point, "Seeing as you four are the most responsible prefects, and the head boy and girl have there hands full, you will be helping to solve this mystery.

Marsapenny looked at the professor, "And how exactly are we supposed to do that?" she questioned, eyebrows raised.

"Look for clues that might have been left behind obviously. Do you kids do nothing on your own nowadays. When I was younger we had to actually look for the clue, and think. Nowadays you can just say "Accio clues!" and they come flying directly into your hand. And you just "google" everything, instead of using common sense." Professor Dorta-Isturiz ranted. (A/N: She's a muggle-born).

Marsapenny looked towards the others, as if reading her mind both Nathan and James plugged their ears. "But isn't that considered common sense, since we're using our resources to our advantage, so we can get this done faster? And professor are you talking about us or the other students. Because I'm fairly certain all of us know "Accio Clues" won't work seeing as there are thousands of things that have clues in the world. And seeing as we don't know exactly what we are looking for, we can't use the spell properly, because we can't specify. But then if you were ranting I completely understand. Now, can you show us where the crime scene is?" Nobody truly enjoyed listening to Marsapenny's rants, but it was fun to watch her backtalk the teachers without getting into trouble.

Professor Dorta-Isturiz blinked "Wait, what? Oh whatever, follow me." she demanded.

Lauren looked at the others, no one following the professor, and asked the question they were all thinking, "No offense, but why would we follow you when it is dark out, and there is a killer out there?"

Trying and failing to sound intimidating the professor threatened, " you wouldn't want points off would you cause I very well could do that."

James shook his head, "Professor, if you're trying to threaten us you're doing a very poor job."

"Too bad you wouldn't want to be the first house with negative points..." she tried again, continuing to walk towards the crime scene. James looked confused but decided to just follow her, so he could go to bed soon.

Nathan sighed following after him, "Gosh she can be so confusing at times."

Lauren shouted running to catch up, "For the record, I'm only following because I'm curious, not because of the hollow threats."

"This is not going to end well," Marsapenny whispered shaking her head but following nonetheless.
