Jayden POV

As soon as we heard the shot and scream, we grabbed our stuff and ran. We got in the car and drove back to Menchies.

"Jay, go to your house, change, and head to Annie's. I'll do the same." He said. "Okay," I responded.

I went home put on a cropped dodgers jersey. I didn't do any makeup, or my hair, I'll do it when I get to Annie's.

About ten minutes later, I pulled up at Annie's, Hayden right behind me. I got out of the car and knocked on the door. Hayden was beside me.

Hayley answered the door. "Hey H$ is Annie here?" I asked. "Yeah, in her room," Hayley said. "Thanks Hay!" I said and we went inside.

I opened Annie's door, she was watching youtube on her space gray MacBook. "Annie we need to talk, all of us," Hayden said, before I could. "Okay," she said sliding on the floor.

Hayden and I sat down. Annie laid her head on Hayden's shoulder; they are so cute together. "Okay Annie, While we were at the beach, we heard a gunshot and a scream," I said, "Annie, I think it was Lexie's killer." "Wait, how did you two know about that?" Hayden asked. "Lexie was my best friend last year, Jayden just grew to be apart of the group," Annie explained, "How did you know that?" "I was at Johnny's house when Lauren got the call. She is best friends with Mackenzie Ziegler-" "Us too" Annie cut him off. "Anyway, Lexie is Mckenzie's cousin. Lexie and Lauren were kind of friends. That's how I know," Hayden explained.

"I'll be right back. Hayley come here!" Annie said. Hayley came in; she sat on the ground with us.

"Okay, Hayley go get what you need to entertain yourself, you are staying in here. No questions."

"Okay, I'll be right back. I'm turning the alarm on."

"Annie, can I curl my hair?" I asked. "Sure," Annie said.

Hayley came back in.

About ten minutes later, Annie's phone rang; she put in on speaker.

"Hello is this Annie Leblanc?"

"Um, yes."

"We have some news for you, your friend, Maddie Ziegler, has been shot in the chest. She was pronounced dead today at 2:47 this afternoon."

"Oh okay, is that all?"

"Yes Ma'am, I'm sorry for your loss."

"One second, is there a description for who it was that killed her?"

"Um yes, tall, female, blonde hair. We didn't see a face."

"Okay, that's all goodbye."

By this time I was through curling my hair at this point.

"Oh my god," Annie said crying, Hayden wrapped her in a hug, while sitting in his lap. Then there is Hayley sitting in her lap, twirling her hair.

There is one thing that made Annie happy, ramen.

"H$, I know you wanna comfort your sister right now, but come with me. We don't need to be alone right now."

"Kay fine."
    
      She rolled her eyes

She stood up and we went down stairs.

"Do you have any ramen?"

"Are you kidding me, my sister is upstairs crying, and all you wanted was food!"

"No, Hayley, I know her favorite food is ramen. I wanna make my best friend somewhat happy again. We both know she doesn't cry often, and in front of people especially."

"Fine then,"

She handed me then ramen and I fixed it for Annie.

About ten minutes later, I brought it up to Annie. I'm lucky Hayley had to use the restroom, because I walked in on Hayden and Annie making out. I cleared my throat. Hayden went red and Annie smirked.

I laughed and handed Annie the ramen. "It's official, we're locked in," Annie said and started eating the ramen.
