Chapter 13

Jayden POV

   I woke up this morning and I put on a big sweatshirt and leggings. I walked downstairs to go to Annie's for the day. "Jayden, wait up," My mom said. "What mom?" I asked. If I don't hurry,  Annie and Hayden will be worried. "I made you eggs," She said and smiled. "Why?" I asked.

   "Jayden, we're moving."

   "What no why?!"

   "You have been very bad lately, and I think it is that Annie girl."

    "No she's not. Annie, Hayden, Hayley, and I, we protect each other. Okay, we are all in danger. They don't need to loose me. We are all in this together. I'm glad you care about me that much, that you will personally put my friends and I in danger."

With that, I picked up my phone and called Annie.

   "Hey Anns, come pick me up. I can't drive right now."

  "Sure we'll be there in twenty minutes."

    When they arrived, I got in the car and greeted Hayley and Hayden.

    When we got to Annie's we went inside and Annie turned the alarm system on.

   We all went upstairs, and I just started bawling. Annie gave me a hug and Hayley sat in my lap. "What's wrong Jay?" Hayley asked.

"My mom said we're moving. I need to come up with a plan to either stay, or come back."

"It's just this simple. When you move, act worse. Tell your mom you won't eat or something like that until you get to move back. The trick is, don't eat around your mom, if she puts you back in public school, eat there. Just don't eat around your mom," Annie chimed in.

"Thank's Anns," I smiled through my tears.

"Let's do school," Hayden said, "so you have less for you to do on the plane."

   We did a week in each subject each. Annie and Hayden were through first. They went down stairs and made us sandwiches. I declined mine by saying my mom made me eggs before she told me the news. They said okay and ate their sandwiches. When they got through, I saw Annie look over, to see if Hayley was done with her school.

  "Jayden can you help me with my math homework please?" Hayley said. "Sure Haybug," I responded. As soon as I said that, I saw Annie smile at Hayden. He smiled back. She sat in his lap and buried her face in his chest. They are so perfect for each other.

  I smiled and helped Hayley with her homework.

  We just hung out and watched Stranger Things on netflix all day. Annie and Hayden cuddled all day.

  When I left it was 9:00. I got home to my mom was sitting on the couch. Everything boxed up. even the stuff in my room. "Where are we moving?" I asked.

  "Back to New York."

  "Why?"

   "You have been way out of line recently. Your hair, your makeup, your clothes. It's all because of the Annie girl."

  "She has nothing to do with this. She has only taught me how to have a backbone."

  "Whatever Jayden, we leave in three days."

"Thanks."

   I went to my room and went to sleep.
