jonah marais. ✧

   you were hanging out alone at your house when you heard a knock on your front door. you slid to the front door, your fuzzy socks gliding across the wood floor. you unlocked the door and opened it to find your tall, brunette boyfriend smiling down at you.
"hey babygirl!" jonah exclaimed, wrapping his arms around you.
"hey jonah!" you exclaimed back, smiling into his chest.
"i figured i'd take my beautiful girlfriend on a beautiful date." he said, unwrapping his arms from you. you walked in the house and signaled him to follow you. he closed the door and locked it behind him.
"that sounds amazing, yet i'm not ready." you frowned.
   "i'll wait for you to get ready babygirl." jonah said, taking a seat on the couch.
   "okay! i'll try to be quick." you smiled at him, sliding back to your room and giggling on the way.
   once you made it to your room, you closed your door and locked it. you plugged in your almost dead phone. you walked over to your small closet and slid the mirror door open. you slid the clothes on their hangers looking for a simple outfit. it was about 6:30 pm but it was semi warm out. you decided to grab a maroon t-shirt and black short - leggings. you slipped off your pajama shorts and threw on the leggings. you took off the oversized, stained shirt and put on the maroon shirt. you replaced your fuzzy socks with simple white ankle socks. you slipped on your black low - top vans. you slid your closet door closed and looked at yourself.
   your eyes scanned your outfit, "a mess." you mumbled and unlocked your bedroom door. you walked out of your bedroom and into the bathroom next door to your room. you got out your tiny makeup bag and did your eyeliner, filled in your eyebrows, applied mascara and applied a light red lipgloss to your lips. as you were applying the lipgloss, you felt two arms wrap around your waist and your tall boyfriend appear behind you in the mirror. you finished up the lipgloss and turned toward your boyfriend in his arms.
"so beautiful." he smiled and placed a kiss on your forehead. he unwrapped himself from you and grabbed onto your hand, pulling you out of the bathroom. you quickly grabbed your phone from the bathroom counter with your free hand, then following behind your boyfriend.
"let's go y/n!" jonah walked out of the front door, making his way to his car. you grabbed your house keys and followed behind him, but you stopped to lock the front door then continued on to his car, you got into the passenger side and buckled in. jonah buckled in as well.

   once you arrived at the hilltop you both got out of the car, jonah led you to a blanket set out on the ground. you squealed in excitement, jonah knew how much you wanted a simple date where you both just watched the sunset and looked at the dark sky finding stars.
"jonah!" you smiled, "this is so cute!" you ran to the blanket and sat down, jonah followed behind.
you both sat down next to each other, you leaned your head on his shoulder as the sun began to set, you watched it in awe. jonah had his arm wrapped around your torso, pulling you close.
as the orange met the trees and the middle of the sky was yellow and way at the top was blue fading to pink, you tapped your boyfriend,
"i want a picture of you." you spoke softly as he unwrapped himself from you and got up, standing and smiling wide as you took a few pictures of him on your phone. he began walking toward you as the sky turned a darker blue within minutes. the air began to get colder as the night fell. jonah was right next to you again, wrapping you up as you began to feel a bit cold.
you and jonah sat down and watched stars until 8:00 pm.
"jojo, im cold." you whispered as his head hit your shoulder.
he lifted up, taking his hoodie off and handed it to you, "there you go my dear." he smiled.
"jonah no." you glared at him.
"yes, now take it." he shoved it in your hands gently.
you slipped it on, the sleeves were too long but you loved jonah's hoodies. you rested your head on his shoulders as he wrapped himself around you again. you didn't realize it but you began to drift off to sleep in jonah's arms. he sat there with you asleep in his arms as he admired the features he could see from the moonlight.
