———Joe's POV———

After Jason and I fucked, I pushed him off of me and got dressed.

"Leaving so soon?" He asked as he pulled his boxer shorts back on.

I glanced over my shoulder at him. "Hm, I gotta get back to the apartment before Cody gets home from work. They don't like being alone for too long." I explained.

Jason stretched and ran a hand through messy hair. "I see." He said simply. He made his way over to me as I pulled my t-shirt back on over my torso. Wrapping his arms around my waist, He pecked a gentle kiss on my cheek and rested his chin on my shoulder.

I smiled at him. "I'll be back tomorrow." I told him. "Please please be careful." I begged him.

He nods grimly, kissing me once again before letting me go fully. He brushed his hands on his boxer shorts and walked to the bathroom. "I'm gonna take a shower." He told me.

"Mkay, have fun." I chuckled, grabbing my purse and walking out of his apartment.

Returning home from getting terribly stoned was harder than usual. I've been high plenty of times, but this time felt extremely different. Had I'd smoke too much? Or am I just jumpy because I finally got laid after months of no luck? Either way, I felt great.

Before walking into my apartment, I made sure that my weed had been tucked safely in the fold of my purse and I hoped i didn't appear too high. I'm not 100% sure my roommate would be okay with me smoking weed. I'd never really asked them about their opinion on the matter, so, in result, I tried to keep the idea of drugs out of the shared apartment.

My roommate had been sitting on the couch, a remote in one hand and a tea cup in the other.

"Hey, Cody." I said to them. They looked away from the tv and gave me a small smile. "How was work?" I asked them.

Cody let out a small sigh, giving off the vibe that their day hadn't been the best one, but, no-the-less, they looked at me and said, "It was okay. You?"

"I've had better. Got invited to a dinner party." I told them.

Cody nodded, "When is it?"

"This Saturday, wanna be my date?" I sat down on the couch beside them.

"Eh." They responded.

"Ouch." I grunted, taking the chips off of the coffee table and eating one.

"I'll think about it." Cody told me.

I rolled my eyes but smiled, still feeling a buzz from the weed. I laid my head onto the back of the couch and stared up at the ceiling.

"I hate my job." I told them honestly.

Cody nodded, probably already knowing of the hatefulness I have for a dead-end office job. "Know the feelin'." Their British accent slurred, probably because they were tired and lacking the necessary amount of sleep they needed.

"When was the last time you slept?" I asked suddenly.

Cody dipped their tea. "Like two days ago." They shrugged. "Not like I'm not used to it."

"Jesus Christ." I cursed. "Go the fuck to sleep." I rolled my eyes. "AND QUIT DRINKING TEA BEFORE BED, IT'LL MAKE YOUR SITUATION WORSE."

"Pffft. Lies." Cody protested. "You gonna make dinner?"

"No, I can't cook."

"Neither can i..."

"Well, fuck. I guess we'll starve."

"Oh well."
