Third Person POV:
In the past hour so far, joe has had a semi-decent meal and found out her drug-deal/boyfriend is a fucking rapist - scaring her out of her socks and facing him again would probably be the worse and most terrifying thing she'll experience...
But other than that it was a great day.
Joe was stomping away from the arcade building when Elliot's hand wrapped around her wrist, pulling her to a halt. This action shocked Elliot more than it did Joe. He never just grabs someone. Especially not a girl.
Turning to him, she glared at him. "What do you want?" She snapped. "Perhaps you like to say you hacked the fucking President, too!" She yelled.
Elliot - though he wasn't scared of her - flinched at her yelling, stepping back in case she decided to spring at him. "No..." he responded quietly. " 'I' thought you deserved to know-"
Joe looked offended and a tad bit shocked herself. "Why do you care."
The question came out harsher than Joe had intended, but Elliot didn't take it that way. Instead, he took a step closer to his co-worker, looking down into her blue eyes. "Because men like him deserve to be thrown in jail." He told her honestly.
It wasn't a huge secret to fsociety that Elliot hacked and sot out the worse of people - whether they'd been hiding behind money or not - He's taken down numerous people being accused of sexual assault or harassment or those accused of fraud. Do you remember Ron and his kitty porn site? He hacks for the best in his opinion.
Joe was staring at him with her blue eyes hard, "Fuck you."
The insult was unexpected to both Joe and Elliot. Joe sighed, shutting her eyes and running a hand through her light brown locks. Elliot's eyes zoned in on her delicate feathers - he's seen her before, but seeing her confused and scared made him feel like absolute shit - he should have never let Darlene tell her this. He couldn't just gotten Jason thrown in jail and leave joe unharmed, but it was too late now and here she stood.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"Me too." Joe said back. "I'm just...'I' guess it's hard to understand that Jason's like that. 'I' mean, he never forced me into anything."
"But he forced 8 women to do so." Elliot fired back quickly, looking above Joe's head in order to avoid her her gaze.
"8 women?" The girl gasped.
Elliot nodded. Joe's eyes clouded with sudden tears and she buried her face in her hands. Suddenly, Elliot became uncomfortable, unsure of how to comfort her.
He slowly put his hand on her back, patting and rubbing her back to give her any comfort. She sniffled, her arms suddenly wrapped around his torso with her face buried in his chest.
Elliot froze. This is new. He grimaced at the sudden contact, but he didn't about his uncomfortable situation. Instead he wrapped his arms around Joe's shoulders and hugged her tightly, pulling her closer to his chest as she sobbed into his black jacket.
Pulling back and looking up at him, Joe's mascara smeared down her red cheeks, she shut her eyes tightly again, seemingly not able to look at the man holding her. Elliot's grip tightened instinctively, enclosing the girl in his arms protectively.
Joe straightened her stance so she was eye to eye with Elliot. She'd been wearing heels, so Elliot had lost the 4 or so inch gain to her height. Leaving them the exact same height. They kissed.
Neither one of them knew which one had started it, but they surprisingly didn't push away. Elliot, for once, wasn't uncomfortable with this and Joe wasn't complaining when Elliot's soft lips moved with her's.
Pulling back to regain their composures, Joe and Elliot stared at each other in bewilderment.
Holy shit.
Joe plucked herself away from his grip. "W-What—" she stopped. "I'll see you at work." Turning on her heels, she shuffled quickly away from Elliot and into the darkness of the New York night.
