Dallas slammed Precious into the lockers, as he did every day after school. He kissed her deeply, sending a chill down her spine. She tried pulling away, knowing they were going to get caught.

"D-Dallas! S-Stop, please?" Precious never sounded confident, so he never stopped until someone caught them.

But this time, Dallas decided to pull away. "Precious, I gotta head home early today, okay? I can't walk you home, but you'll be okay, right?"

Before Precious can answer, he kisses her, and runs his hand down her leg, then leaves. She knew Dallas was never going to understand that they were never going to work out completely. He was constantly in detention. So much that the only way he even got to pin her to the lockers was by saying he had to use the bathroom.

Precious walked home slowly, considering a few things. "Why does he act so sexual around me?" she thought out loud.

"Why does WHO act so sexual around you, dear?"

Precious jumped at the voice, and she quickly turned around to see old Mrs. Pimplewinkle standing there. She was always made fun of because of her last name.

"What? I didn't say that," Precious exclaims, thinking quickly. "I said 'why does he act so special around me'!"

Mrs. P nods as if she isn't convinced. "Say hello to your mother for me, dear. And tell your wretched father that he needs to stop making such a racket when he mows his lawn, dear!"

Mrs. P always said "dear" no matter who she was talking to. Precious breathed a sigh of relief as she walked home and did what she had been told.

The day passed on quickly, and so did the whole week. Monday came, and Dallas didn't do what he usually did. He just stood there, staring at Precious while she got her things out of her locker.

"What do you want, Dallas?" She asked, not paying too much attention to him.

"I want what I asked for last week. I asked Monday last week, and you said that this Monday you'd answer. So, is it yes or no?"

Precious had given it so much thought. "I don't know, Dallas. I don't REALLY want to, considering we are seniors, and need to keep a clean record. And even if I did, what would my parents say?"

Dallas sighed and spun her around and kissed her. "Whatever. It's your life, you're decision. If you got thrown out, you could come live with me. It's simple. Tell me tomorrow, okay? I gotta run!" And he was gone before she could reply.

Maybe it was that simple. Maybe her parents wouldn't care. And if they did, she could go live with Dallas. Maybe everything was going to be fine. Maybe she would say yes to Dallas tomorrow. Maybe she'd still make it into a good enough college. Or maybe her world would come crashing down. No, don't think like that, Precious! She screamed at herself in her head. As she approached her house, and opened the door, she was about to find out that everything was about to change.....
