Whilst the doctor was making last minute checks of everything to make sure it all went smoothly, jack and Rose started to catch up with each other. “So how is doctor number two?” Rose smiled and replied “he actually calls himself John Smith and he is fine. In fact I am soon to become Mrs Rose Smith”. Jack’s mouth fell open and rose laughed at his fish like expression. “My god rose, congratulations. I’m so happy for you” “yes rose congratulations” said the doctor stepping out of nowhere. He was smiling but he also looked remorseful. “Jack were ready to start but you are going to have to step back, and also this might not work and I don’t want you to get your hopes up” “I know doctor but I will try anything at this point.” Rose patted him on the arm in reassurance and walked towards the tardis and looked back “good luck rose” said the two men in unison. She walked inside and a few minutes later there was an incredible white light coming from the tardis. Rose stepped out of the time machine, she was glowing covered head to toe in bright light. She walked towards ianto and raised her hand towards him. The light intensified and jack had to fight the urge to close his eyes “I bring life” rose whispered then the doctor ran forward and kissed rose on the mouth thus taking the energy from her and into himself. He then shot the energy out of him and into the containment capsule. And rose looked like she was about to sink to the ground for a second, then regained her balance. Jack ran forward to ianto, who was still lying still on the table “Yan?”. Then ianto’s eyes shot open and he took in a desperate breath of air. He then looked at jack and smiled wildly “jack?” “yeah it’s me Yan, your alright...your alright”

“but what happened?, I’m confused the gas... I ...” his eyes widened in realisation “I... I died, oh jesus am I dead?, god jack tell me I’m not dead. I’m not like Owen am I?. Am I one of the walking dead?” ianto’s eyes were wide with fright and jack took his hand to comfort him “no you are not dead... I mean you were dead for a whole month. But now you are not, you are actually like me now a immortal” then jack leaned in and gave ianto a small peck on the lips. Jack pulled away just enough to look at the doctor “do you think there will be any side effects doctor?” “it’s hard to tell, I mean this is a completely new and unique case. For you jack it was different because you were only dead a few minutes. But ianto has been dead a whole month. I think we should do some tests just to be sure, but first of all welcome back ianto Jones!”. Jack smiled and kissed ianto’s forehead “yeah welcome back Yan”.
