Winifred the Waterdrop Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Right before Bobby Jr's eyes Winifred started evaporating and beginning her transformation into a gas. Although they said they had been together for 4 water cycles they had never gone through one themselves. The two had been childhood friends and always living under the same cliff that jutted out near the ocean shore. The same people just popped up sometimes and they would think 'oh, they just finished their cycle.'

But this was Winifred's first time starting the cycle and she had to do it all alone too. Most water drops go through the cycle with parents or friends. Winifred's parents had left her long ago and she lost all her friends after dating Bobby Jr for a while. Those were the good old days. Winifred didn't have time to focus on the past right now though. A new feeling was taking over her. A feeling of emptiness. She couldn't tell if this was caused by her new form or by the fact that she had excepted that she had just lost the biggest part of her life.

Her body, her hair, everything, it was all gone. She had spent hours every week keeping in shape. She had now lost her most prized possession, her thigh gap. This wasn't important to most water drops because they didn't have legs but she thought it made her unique and different. It also impressed Bobby Jr. She wasn't worried about him anymore though. Also her hair, that lovely, wavy, pure blonde, 6 ft hair of hers. Although it was hard to keep neat and had been fried by bleach and hair straighteners beyond compare, she would miss it.

Even though she felt empty she was also at peace, all these material things were gone and only the mental remained. This would be the ideal place to find a new boyfriend who really liked her. But he might turn out ugly so she would have to dump him as to not vomit every time his face appeared. She might have to wait until shes gone through some more stages. Looks were pretty important to her and everyone knew that hot + hot = hot. No ugly kids allowed. Just as she was thinking about this, a quiet voice whispered in her ear.

"This is my swamp"

"WHHHHATTTT?????" Winifred screamed, she knew how this would end.

"LOL jk jk" the voice said while laughing.

Winifred turned around to see a short, chubby girl. At least thats what she imagined she would look like if she wasn't water vapor. This person would soon become an important part of Winifred's life.
