bedtime stories

it was night time, soonyoung was lying on the bed both him and jihoon shared. the couple had an apartment together and lived together after gathering enough money, it has been five months eversince they moved in here together.

he was waiting for jihoon to finish his work so that they can have some quality time together, where jihoon would usually tell bedtime stories to soonyoung at night before they sleep.

after waiting for around 20 minutes, soonyoung couldn't wait anymore. he was tired,
"jihoon-"
"i'm almost done, kwon." jihoon shushed him.

"but you said that 25 minutes ago!" soonyoung huffed as his placed both his elbows on the younger's table, making jihoon tsk.

"you're crushing my notes! can't you just wait? you're so impatient." the younger complained, soonyoung frowned and walked away.
"please.. it's already 2a.m. i'm tired! aren't you?" he whined.

"well, i'm not. you can just go sleep first, you know." jihoon was quite annoyed, he wanted to finish his work, he just needed to organise some folders and save them in a thumbdrive.

"bedtime stories!" the older tries saying again but jihoon just ignored him.

"hmph, fine." soonyoung walked away from him with loud, angry footsteps. he was hoping jihoon would hear them so he will get some attention from the younger. but no, his eyes were still glued to the screen in front of him.

despite the time, he still wanted to wait for jihoon. he sat up on the bed and positioned himself to lean on the wall, he was trying not to fall asleep. he wanted to at least talk to jihoon.

about an hour has passed, jihoon got quite carried away with his work. he actually did more of what he's supposed to do for the day but thought it was fine anyway.

he turned off his laptop and kept it in his bag before turning to see soonyoung having his head facing down with his arms crossed while leaning on the wall. he fell asleep.

jihoon looked at him a subtly smiled, he thought soonyoung looked really cute. the younger then positioned soonyoung into his sleeping position on the bed before heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth and rinse his face.

he comes out to see soonyoung sitting up, looking at him with a bright grin.
"you're coming to bed!"
jihoon was about to grab his phone to read soonyoung a story.

something stopped him. he realised he actually felt a little tired, but then he remembered how long soonyoung waited for him. he took his phone anyway, went to his library and picked a random short story to read to soonyoung.

jihoon sat beside the soonyoung who was already lying down while looking up at him.
"there was a boy, everybody liked him. he was the talk of the..." as jihoon talked, soonyoung scooted closer to the younger.

not long after, his head was already laying on top of jihoons lap. the younger chuckled, he wasn't complaining anyway.

"he then made a decision, maybe he should focus more on-" jihoon stopped as he heard soft snores. he looked down from his phone, the older was asleep.

jihoon took a minute to admire his lover, then placing his phone at his side table before giving soonyoung a peck on the forehead.

"good night." he says before turning off the lights and cuddling his boyfriend to sleep.
