Forever

AU- High School Student 

"I hate you, Masumi!" Natsuki yelled as she dashed out of his room. Masumi stood there frozen. He had told Natsuki that he would be leaving tomorrow for his scholarship offer. Although, it hurt him like bullets leaving her behind. 

"Gomen, Natsuki. Gomen." he muttered, even though he know that she wasn't there and wasn't able to hear his apology. 

Masumi slowly walked back his desk, and started to clear his belongings. He stopped as he saw a picture of him and Natsuki at Tropical Land. He smiled to himself. We had so much back then. I hope she wouldn't forget these great memories. He sighed to himself, and started zipping his luggage bags. He grabbed the picture, and put it in his backpack. 

Knock! Knock!  

He turned around, hoping it was Natsuki. It turned out to be Souta and Akashi. 

"We'll miss you." Souta stated, as he hugged Masumi. 

"How did you guys know?" Masumi asked. 

"Well,... we ran into Natsuki and Sakura. We saw Natsuki was crying so Sakura told us the reasons." Akashi explained, Masumi nodded. 

"Good luck over there." Akashi said with a sad tone. 

"I wish I could stay." Masumi sighed, as he sat back down on the bed.

"We all wish that. But you can't pass this great opportunity, it was your dream to get in that university." Souta explained. 

"I know...but leaving you guys, especially Natsuki,.." Masumi murmured. 

"Natsuki would be alright. We'll take care of her." Souta comforted. 

"Beside, Natsuki is a strong girl, she will be fine." Akashi added. Masumi nodded. 

"Can I ask you guys to help me with one thing?" Masumi asked. 

"Of course. What are friends for!" Souta exlaimed, and Masumi smiled. 

"Can you guys help me pull Natsuki to the bridge where we all first meet her." Masumi said. 

"Why?" Akashi asked. 

"I have something...for her." Masumi said, and blushed. Akashi and Souta both raised their eyebrow, and chuckled. 

"Gotcha."  

At night,... 

"Come on, Natsuki. Let's go." Sakura said. 

"I don't want to Sakura." Natsuki replied sadly. 

"It's your last time to see him and confessed." Sakura reasoned. 

"But he is leaving, what is the point of confessing. Moreover, he might find his true soulmate over there." Natsuki argued. 

Sakura face palmed, Natsuki was being so stubborn. 

"Tell you what, if you go there, I'll buy for you that Lazy Egg stuff animal you always want." Sakura offered, Natsuki looked up. 

"Really?" Natsuki asked, and and Sakura nodded. 

"Okay. I'll go." Natsuki reluctantly got up, and headed out for the door. 

"Bring your jacket!" Sakura reminded. 

"Thanks." Natsuki 

Natsuki arrived at bridge, she looked around, and smiled at the beautiful scenery in front of her. It yet so familiar and so far. She sighed to herself, and looked around. She saw no sign of Masumi. I knew it. It was just another prank. Natsuki sighed, as a tear slipped down her face. 

Suddenly, she saw a bright light, blinded her view. One lattern, 2 latterns, were shining bright, floating on the river. While on the sky, fireflies flew around. 

Natsuki feeling awe, amazed with the breathe-taking since in front of her. 

"Natsuki." a familiar voice called her name. 

Natsuki turned around and saw Masumi standing there. 

"Masumi." Natsuki said in a whisper. 

"I'm sorry."Masumi said. Natsuki started crying, running toward him for a hug. 

"I'll miss you, Masumi." Natsuki cried her heart out. 

"Me too. And...Natsuki...I have something for you." Masumi said, and pulled out of the hug. 

"Huh?" Natsuki asked in confused. Masumi pulled out a small box, inside was a golden heart necklace.

Behind the heart, carved the letter MxN - Forever 

Natsuki looked up in shock as she read the letter. 

"This..." Natsuki said, 

"i never really had a chance to confess I love you, Natsuki." Masumi said. 

"I love you too!" Natsuki whispered back. Masumi lifted her chin up, and lean in for a passionate kiss. Something that they both wouldn't forget.

At far, ...

Akashi, Souta and Sakura were spying on the new love birds. 

"They're too cute." Sakura exclaimed. 

"Agree." Souta said. Akashi just smile, as they look on to their 2 friends, had found their own happiness.
