Kathryn’s POV

Naggising ako sa isang kwartong puro puti. Ngayon naalala ko na, I gave birth to my little girl. Pero, bakit parang iba? Wala si DJ or kahit nurse man lang sa hospital. I looked at the calendar, I was asleep for 2 days’ time. Pero bakit walang tao sa loob ng kwarto. I remained still at hindi nalang pinansin ang kung ano ano ang sinasabi ng isip ko. Maybe, I’m just being paranoid, baka lumabas lang sandali si DJ.

Pinilit kong ipikit ang mga mata ko at matulog, pero hindi ko maggawa. I waited for almost an hour pero DJ is still nowhere to be found. Lumabas ako ng kwarto at nangilabot ako sa nakita ko. Wala akong nakikitang doctors or kahit nurses sa labas ng kwarto ko. Nagsimula akong maglakad, though a little bit scared, I still managed to walk.

Pinuntahan ko ang nursery, thinking na baka andun ang pamilya ko. Si Mama or si Papa. But I was shocked when I saw the window viewing the nursery, wala kahit ni isang bata ang andun. I started to feel scared. Nasaan si DJ? Nasaan ang baby ko? Nasaan si Gino? Nasaan na sila. I continued walking, calming myself and reminding my mind that I should not panic. Habang naglalakad ako, I still have my dextrose with me.

Papalapit nang papalapit ako sa elevator when I saw that it was out of order, I had no choice but to use the stairs. Pahirapan pa naman bumaba because I’m at the 6th floor. Habang bumababa ako ng hagdan, I saw a nurse came by. Pero as if I were a ghost, hindi niya ako pinansin. Suddenly, a piece of paper fell from her pocket. I picked it up and tried to call her pero naglaho siya nang parang bula.

 

“Bumaba ka sa hospital na ‘yan. May bomba diyan.”

Yun ang nakasaad sa sulat, I could feel my heart skipped a beat. Binilisan ko ang pagbaba ng hagdan when I saw a doctor. Pero di kagaya ng ginawa ng nurse kanina, inalalayan niya ako. I didn’t have the chance to see her face kasi naka hospital mask siya. But her body figure seems familiar. Pero hindi na ako nakapag isip ng maayos kasi natatakot ako, baka kasi sumabog na ang bomba.
