A Miraculous Love

Prologue

Once upon a time the kingdom of France was ruled by King Gabriel Agreste and his queen, Camille. The king and queen were kind people who did their best to help the citizens of their kingdom in any way they could. They often traveled throughout their kingdom to visit with their citizens and to gain information on problems that needed to be solved. The citizens of France thought highly of their kind monarchs and cherished all they had done for them.

Five years into their rule Queen Camille gave birth to son, Adrien Agreste. The kingdom rejoiced at the birth of the prince. From all over France citizens sent their congratulations to the royal family. King Gabriel and Queen Camille were overjoyed by their citizens' happiness about the birth of their son. They too, felt blessed to be the proud parents of such a beautiful baby boy.

As Adrien grew older he began to accompany his parents on their trips around the kingdom. He enjoyed interacting with the citizens and seeing the sights around the kingdom he called home. The young prince was beloved by all who met him because of his warm smile and caring disposition. Back at home their castle was full of love and joy as the proud parents doted on their only son. However, the royal family's happiness would not last.

A few months after Adrien's 12th birthday his mother fell ill. King Gabriel hired the best doctor in the kingdom to take care of his wife but three months after falling ill the queen passed away. The kingdom mourned the loss of their queen and beloved monarch, sending their condolences to the royal family. However, no one mourned the loss more than King Gabriel and his son. King Gabriel lost his wife, soulmate, best friend, and the mother of his child. His son, lost his mother and closest friend. The day the royal family laid Queen Camille Agreste to rest was the day King Gabriel changed for the worse. After his wife passed King Gabriel's demeanor changed completely. The once happy and kind king turned cold and uncaring.
