The next morning Adrien was awoken by Plagg and dragged downstairs to the fitting room to design his tuxedo for the wedding. As they entered, he realized Lila and her mom were already there and talking with the seamstresses. "Good morning Adrien," Lila said walking over and planting a kiss on his cheek. "Good morning Lila," Adrien replied as he walked over to where a seamstress was waiting for him. He greeted her and then sat down to begin discussing the design for his tuxedo. Adrien began to describe the tuxedo he wanted to the seamstress while she drew it on a piece of paper. However, the tuxedo he was describing was not to be worn to marry Lila, but Ladybug. No Marinette, Adrien corrected himself realizing he should start using her real name. As the seamstress finished drawing the tuxedo he couldn't help but smile. The tuxedo was black with blue trim, a white shirt layered beneath it, and a blue bowtie to match. It was just as amazing as he had envisioned it and he couldn't wait to see it in real life.

Just then, Plagg came in and announced it was time to head to the dining hall to try food and cake samples for the wedding which would also count as their lunch for the day. As they approached the dining hall they could see that there were plates of all different foods and cakes already on the table waiting for them. They walked in and each took a plate and began to fill them with samples to try. Adrien ate quietly as Lila and her mother vocalized their opinions about the different foods as they tried them. Both took turns complaining about the foods they didn't like and complimenting the ones they did. Adrien began to throw out an opinion occasionally to keep from drawing any suspicions. Finally, after two hours of food tasting, arguing, and compromising they settled on a list of foods and a cake flavor for the wedding. Adrien sighed as he leaned back in his chair. He knew that for once, when the time came, he would be grateful to have the guards escort him to his room. There was only so much Lila one person could take and he was at his wits end.

Thankfully, Plagg reentered the room and informed them that the king would like to have a private audience with them in the throne room. Adrien immediately got up and began to follow Plagg out of the room, grateful that he could finally get some space between him and Lila if only for a moment. However, the moment was short lived as they entered the throne room. Once inside, Lila immediately latched onto his arm and dragged him over to the table where his father was waiting.

As they sat down King Gabriel immediately began to speak. "Thank you for coming to meet with me. I just wanted to see how your day went and if there was anything that you thought of or needed for the wedding. Also, I wanted to give you these invitations to send to your family members so they may join us for the ceremony." Lila's mother smiled as she took the invitations. "Thank you, King Gabriel you have been too kind. Lila and I have both agreed that everything that you have set forth for the ball has been perfect thus far. We cannot wait for this union to be made official." King Gabriel smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yes, I have provided only the best for this occasion as I want it to be special for both our children. Since everything seems to be in order I suggest we dismiss for tonight and reconvene in the morning. Then, we will discuss further preparations." Lila's mother nodded in agreement as she spoke, "I think that is a good idea. A good night's sleep and a fresh perspective is always a good idea. Good night, King Gabriel we shall see you in the morning." With that said Lila and her mother left for the evening leaving Adrien alone with his father.

Once they were out of sight King Gabriel's smile fell. "Adrien," he began. "You need to show more enthusiasm about this wedding. I'm am tired of watching you mope around. You chose to marry Lila and that is what you will do so I suggest you learn to enjoy her company. Now, go with the guards and return to your room. I will have Plagg wake you in the morning. Good night." Adrien nodded and followed the guards out of the room. I will never get used to Lila because she and I will never marry. Tonight's mission will make sure of that, Adrien thought as he made his way through the castle with the guards. Once Adrien was in his room he locked the door and began to put on his costume. He knew that the sooner he got to the clearing the faster this mission could start. So, with one final look around his room, Adrien headed out into the night.
