Chapter 1- Sting Wants To Go On A Job

Rogue pov-

I sat at the guild bored and a bit tired. Sting and I had just gone on a job yesterday and we had to walk for what seemed like ages. All of a sudden I felt a hand grab the collar of my Gray shirt and pull me off the seat. "What the hell!". I hit the hand but it slapped the top of my head. I gave up and the person dragged me to the request board.

  "Ok up you go", The voice said and pulled me up. I looked up to see the blonde dragon slayer, Sting.

"You could have just asked me to walk over", I said.

"Yeah I could've, but I know you're to lazy to walk", Sting remarked.

"Whatever. What do you want", I asked.

"I want to go on this job", He told me and held up the job request. It was about killing these two monsters that keep tearing up people's crops, eating their livestock, and sometimes destroying their homes. It had a pretty good pay of 14,000 Jewel.

"Sure that will be perfect for you", I said.

"No I want you to come with me".

"Yeah no I am tired and I just want to relax for today, Ok?", I explained.

"Please".

"No".

"Pretty please".

"No again".

"Ugh fine", Sting finally said.

"Good, have fun on your job and be safe", I said and turned around.
 
  "Nope, you're coming with me".

"St-", I was cut off by Sting picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

"Sorry Rogue we're going", Sting said.

"No I don't want to!".

I watched as Rufus shook his head with a smile and Orga laughed. "Bye guys have fun!", Yukino called out waving her hand.

"Yukino halp!".

I then looked to the side to see Minerva with a scowl and she turned around muttering something. I shrugged at it and looked at Sting. "I hate you".

"Kay".

And I accepted my fate.

-Time skip-

Rogues pov-

"So where are we headed", I asked turning to Sting.

"Um, to a farmers house a little bit away from the town", He responded looking at the paper.

"Oh ok", I said and looked back at the floor.

"You good?", Sting asked.

"Yep". Normally I would be fine going on jobs with Sting. Since he is my partner after all. But this time I just feel weird. I shook it off remembering that we had a job to do.

We walked to a large open field that had a small house in the middle and a large red barn next to it. The barn had a huge hole in the side as if something crashed into it, and a window in the house was shattered. As we walked farther I heard somehting snap under me. It was a bone. Of a animal not a human. I stared at it for a bit till Sting pushed me forward. The further we walked the more animal bones we saw. This was probably the monsters doing. It was disgusting and sad.

The man probably saw us and he walked out his house. "Are you the wizards coming to help me", The old man asked in a raspy voice.

"Yes", Sting said.

"Oh goodness aren't you guys such kind boys", The man said. "Coming out all this way to help a old man like me".

"It's our job", Sting said with a smile polite smile.

"The monsters usually is in the forest behind my house all day, then at night he comes and wrecks the place. As you can see they have already wrecked my barn and ate all my Sheep, Cow, Chicken, and Horses. I'm scared they're gonna wreck my house next", The man explained to us. Just then a small girl came running out the house. She had long white hair that was tied into two French braids, fair skin, beatiful brown eyes, and she wore a pink dress. She looked so much like Yukino. Then I noticed there was a stab wound in her stomach that was pouring out blood. I put my hand over my mouth and gasped  as she ran to her grandpa and hugged him.

"What's wrong Rogue", Sting asked. I blinked and noticed the girls hair was brown, her skin was more tan, and she had the same brown eyes. The wound was gone.

"Nothing", I said still looking at the girl. What did I just see. Why did no one else see that.

"Hi, my name is Cathey!", The girl introduced with a smile. I smiled back at her, "Hey".

Sting kneeled down to look her in the eyes. "Me and my friend and gonna get rid of the monster so you can live peacefully, sound good?", Sting asked.

"Yeah! Good luck guys!", Cathey said. Everything about her was pure and innocent.

"We'll be back, thank you sir", Sting said and we walked off.

Once we entered the forest Sting grabbed my shoulder, "What happened back there?", He asked.

"Nothing", I said and walked ahead.

Stings pov-

He can be so stubborn sometimes. I walked behind him slowly. Then I picked up the scent of the monsters. One came bursting out the tree and Rogue jumped back and looked at it. It was tall and weird looking. It was like a tall wolf but with a alligator tail, and horns.

"Let's go Rogue", I said and he nodded.

"White Dragon roar!!!", I yelled blasting the beam at the monster. Rogue was already above the monster.

"Shadow dragon slash!", He chanted and attacked the creaure and landed on the ground in front of it. "Shadow dragon roar!!". The blast of Shadows hit the creature and it stumbled back. Rogue jumped at it ready to make a final strike. Just then the second monster came out and smacked him away.

"Rogue!", I yelled and ran to him catching him before he hit the ground. Rogue moved his arm away from his face and looked at me. Then I exaimed him. His beatiful red eyes, silky black hair, beatiful skin. Oh my god....

Rogues pov-

I looked at Sting embarassed. I quickly looked away from Sting and at the ground. This was really embarrassing.

"Oh um sorry", Sting quickly said and put me. I looked back at the monsters.

"Let's just take them down".

"Yeah ok".

"WHITE DRAGON"

"SHADOW DRAGON".

"ROAR!!"

"Thank you boys so much for what you did. Me and my daughter thank you with these gifts", The old man said. He pulled out the bag of 14,000 jewel for us and then the little girl handed us two homemade medals. It was really just a circle of wood attached to a ribbon that had the words, "Our heros", carved on it, but it was cute.

"Thank you", I said putting it on.

"Be safe now children", The man said as we began to walk away.

"You too", Sting said.

"Bye bye wizards!!", I heard Cathey yell.

A/N: Well how was my first chapter, I would appreciate advice to make my writing better, thanks bye
