Chapter 1: Someone next door

Y/N was sitting in her room drawing when she heard a noise coming from outside. Curious she went to her window to see what it was. To her surprise it was a moving truck that was packed full of furniture and boxes labeled with several names. There was several that didn't catch her eye until her eyes fell on a name all to familiar to her C/N. Y/N was so shocked that she ran downstairs tripping on her brothers toy truck on the way down the stairs, but it left her unfazed she just kept running to the door.

Y/N POV (Oh what's this)

I yanked the door open to see movers going back and forth with boxes and all sorts of stuff, but I needed to clear my head. Never in my mind have I ever thought that C/N of all people would move in next door! I sighed and started walking down to the park where I usually draw, not knowing that a certain someone was following me from a distance. As I got closer to the park I noticed that there was no one around like usual so I took advantage of it. I sat on the hill in the grass, sketchbook in front of me, and i started to sketch the entire scene in front of me.

C/N POV (Oh Yes!!!)

I followed Y/N until she stopped on a hill at the local park, I didn't want to get caught so I sat on a bench with my guitar on my lap humming to myself the tune of the song I was writing for Y/N. I looked up at Y/N to see her zoned out into whatever she was doing so I began to play.

After I was done singing I noticed that Y/N was smiling as she continued what she was doing. I couldn't help but smile too. When a piece of hair fell into her face she moved it behind her ear and my heart fluttered. When she frowned and swiftly moved her hand I couldn't help but feel like I was on cloud nine. Oh how I love her, but I just never know how to tell her. I mean her friends are always around her and when shes alone I chicken out and watch her from afar. Oh how I long to hold and kiss her, shes everything I need in life.

Y/N POV

I was done my drawing so I checked my phone, '5:30 I should get home' I thought. I packed up my drawing stuff, put it back into my bag and made my way home. As I walked I couldn't help but hum the song I heard while i was drawing. When I got home I got a hug from my little brother and mom, "dad was working late again" so said mom.

"Honey, will you set some extra places we are having company for dinner." Mom called from the living room as she put on cartoons for brother.

"Ok mom." I yell back grabbing extra plates. "How many people mom?" I ask as she comes into the kitchen to finish supper.

"5 dear." She says as she takes the lasagna out of the oven.

As I finish setting the table the door bell rings, "I got it!" Brother cries as I hear a crash in the living room. I laugh as I go to clean it up.

Narrator Pov

As Y/N cleans up the mess that her brother made C/N walks in with his family. As the rest of his family follows her brother to the kitchen he sees Y/N and goes to talk to her.

"Hey Y/N" C/N says from behind Y/N making her jump.

"Jeez bro don't... C-C-C/N!" Y/N stutters after seeing C/N standing in her living room.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." C/N replies rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"I-Its fine, I'm guessing your the company mom was talking about." Y/N said walking to the kitchen to meet the rest of C/N's family.

Y/N POV

'Mom could have warned me who it was' i thought as I enter the kitchen to be greeted by laughter and smiles. "Y/N! Come meet the C/L/N's! There great people!" Mom laughed as she waved me to come in. I smiled as I took one step into the kitchen. "Come on Y/N, they don't bite."

"At least they don't~" C/N whispered in my ear from behind me. As he spoke I felt a chill go down my spine that made me instantly take a step forward.

"C/N! Come here I want you to meet the Y/L/N's, their very nice people." His mom laughed as she waved him over to her. He smiled and passed me going to his mother. As he passed me I felt him brush my hand with his.

"Of course mother." Was all he said as he passed.

I stood at the door for several minutes until mom began to speak, "If you would like the food is ready if anyone would like it." Mom is always so nice and does everything with a smile, so I went for some food. "Hungry Y/N?" Mom commented as I grabbed a plate.

"Only for your delicious food mom, you make the best." I said with a smile. After I grabbed my food I went outside to the swing set where it was quiet and peaceful where I could think about all lives problems.

C/N POV (Oh yes again!)

My heart fluttered as I watched Y/N smile she seemed so relaxed with the comment that it was almost a phrase used everyday. After she was finished I went and dished up, and the food did look good and it smelt amazing. As I looked for Y/N her mom came over to me. "She not here dear. When there is company over she goes to the backyard to think and eat. Its a thing of hers." Her mom then went to dish up after giving me a wink and pointed to the back door.

When I got outside the crisp air hit my cheeks, as i looked for Y/N I noticed how big their backyard was. As I scanned the yard I saw Y/N on the swings frowning as she ate, I began to walk forward towards her. As I got closer I heard Y/N mumbling to herself. I caught very little but what I did hear was stuff like "Why, math, love, and grr." I laughed a little making her look up. "Oh sorry did I scare you again?" I teased.

"N-No, you just surprised me that's all." Y/n looked at the ground again as she took a bite of her food.

"Mind if I sit?" I asked as I looked at her. The moon light lit up her face in a certain way that made her look angelic and I couldn't help but feel in love.

"Ok... But could you stop staring its creeping me out." She said as she looked up at the night sky. As I sat down I noticed how tense she was.

"Why are you so tense?" I asked with out thinking, as I realized what I said I was quick to apologize. "Sorry! I didn't mean for it to come out! Sometimes I say whatever comes to mind!" I looked away as I felt heat rise to my cheeks.

"Its fine, and I'm always tense now-a-days its just a habit." She smiled as she looked at her food.

"So why you out here all alone?" I asked curious and cautious of what I said. She sighed then spoke.

"I sit outside when people are over because I can clear my head and figure out my problems if I look up at the sky." She looked up, "I know that sounds weird but I feel as if every star in the sky is an answer to a question that you have, and the bigger the question the brighter it shines." She smiled looking at me. "Sorry! I zoned out again!" She covered her face but I could see the red show up on her face.

"Its okay." I smiled, "And it doesn't sound weird, it sounds unique and like...like you." I smiled as I looked into her eyes to see the stars sparkling in them.
