Stampy's POV

"You like it?" I asked.

"Yeah," Adam replied. "It's a nice name."

"T-thank you." I said. "What do you want to do now?"

Adam thought about it for a second. "Well, I haven't really told you anything about myself."

"Okay, well, what's your favorite food?"

"Butter!" he screamed. "Sorry, I get really excited when I think about butter."

I giggled and looked at his amulet. "Where did you get such a beautiful amulet?"

"My mom. It's something that my family passes down everytime someone gets married."

"You're married?" I asked. I was shocked, but also a little sad. I don't know why though.

"No," he laughed. "Let me explain it a little more. When my parents got married, my father gave this amulet to my mom. When I was born, my mom passed down the amulet to me. Then, when I get married, I give this to my bride. It's been like that for centuries."

"Oh, I get it," I nodded. "So, what now, Adam?"

"Um, it's nearly nighttime. Do you wanna go back to your house.?"

"Sure, let's go."

Adam's POV

Once we got to Joseph's house, I went straight to bed.

Today was fun, but I don't want to be a burden to Joseph so I think I'll leave tomorrow.

"Goodnight!" Joseph yelled.

"Goodnight!" I yelled back and drifted off to sleep.

I yawned as I woke up early in the morning. I walked out of the guest room and I crept into Joseph's room. He was still sleeping and I realized that when he sleeps, I can't see those big, green eyes.

I should make some breakfast.

I went to his kitchen and hunted for ingredients for cake. All I found though was an egg, five wheat, no sugar, and several empty buckets.

Great, just awesome. Wait, I can go get some cake from Stampy's Hot Buns.

I walked through the house and into the cake shop. There were no cakes.

Not a single cake?

Then, I saw a cow, chicken, and some sugar cane outside a back window.

Jackpot.

I quickly milked the cow, grabbed an egg and four sugar canes and rushed back to his kitchen. On the way, I found a butter ingot laying on the floor.

Perfect.

Stampy's POV

"What's that smell?" I whispered as I got out of bed. I rushed into the kitchen only to find a very messy Adam and two cakes on the table.

"Did you make these?"

"Yep, I also added a little bit of butter, if you don't mind," he nodded.

How sweet.

"Take a seat and tell how it tastes," Adam insistited.

"Alright," I said, taking a bit. "Delicious!"

His cheeks turned slightly red and his amulet started to glow.

"Adam? Is your amulet supposed to glow?"

Adam's POV

I look down and saw that it was glowing

No, no, no, NO!

"Excuse me for a moment," I said, standing up and running to the guest room. There was a mirror there so I stared at it before flipping out.

"Why is it glowing?! I'm not gay! I'm straight! Plus, Joseph is a cat! A freaking cat! I can't be in love anyway," I whisper-shouted, pacing the floor.

Stampy's POV

I secretly followed Adam to his room and heard everything he just said. I was standing behind the door when he suddenly opened it.

"I w-was coming to check o-on you," I lied.

"Thanks Joseph, but I've got to go," he said sternly, walking around me.

"But-"

"Thank you for yesterday. Good bye."

"G-good bye," I stuttered. The truth is, I didn't want Adam to leave. He was the only person I have around me and, well, I love him.

Wait, what?! What did I- Oh man, I do.

"I love him," I whispered. I ran after Adam on all fours and once we got to got to that hill with flowers and oak trees, I tackled him.

"Adam, don't go."

Adam's POV

"Why?" I questioned. My amulet started to glow again. "I've got to go."

"Because you're the only person around here and I'm lonely and you're nice and funny and creative and I love you," he muttered fastly, putting his head into my chest.

He loves me? He loves me!

"Joseph?"

He looked up with those big, green eyes.

"I love you too."
