Peach stood on the fence of her twoleg garden with her eyes closed. She was enjoying the gentle breeze as it filtered through her cream-colored fur, the bell on her collar jingling quietly. She opened her clear blue eyes just enough to see the thunderpath, and the forest right behind it. Her tail swayed behind her as she watched a leaf fall onto the ground, before her eyes fixed on something in the bushes.

The kittypet twitched her ears a little, her jaws parting a little to taste the air as she hopped down onto the soft, green grass at the bottom of the fence, the blades tickling her paw pads and the soil softening her silent landing. She instinctively dropped into a stalking position as she stared at the thing in the bush, and after looking at it for a while she realized that it was a plump, gray mouse.

The mouse sniffed the air, not noticing the she-cat as she gradually made her way to her end of the thunderpath. Just as Peach set a paw on the hard, black, and smelly turf, she was tackled from behind. She yowled as she was thrown into the center of the road, attempting to see who the attacker was.

She whipped around and batted at another cat's muzzle, only to find that it was a smaller she-cat of similar color, purring and playfully pawing at a stray leaf.

Peach hissed, "Poppy, don't scare me like that!" Her tail lashed as she got up, licking a piece of dirt off of her pelt.

The smaller feline just purred more and mewed, "It's your fault for not paying attention."

Peach rolled her eyes and to her disappointment, the mouse had scampered away.

"Ghh... You ruined my chance to catch something!" She snapped at her sister who was licking her chest.

Poppy looked at her with innocent green eyes. "It's not my problem that you can't hunt," She teased.

Peach hissed a little, though understood that Poppy was joking, but looked down at her paws, attempting to flex nonexistent claws and sighing heavily. "You are right.... But don't brag just because you haven't been to the vet yet. You'll go soon-" She was cut off by the sound of a monster coming up over the horizon.

She gasped, "POPPY, RUN!" She panicked, scrambling to her feet and nudging her towards the other side of the thunderpath.

Poppy saw the monster coming and leaped out of the way, Peach following, narrowly avoiding getting hit.

The two sprinted into the forest, not knowing where they were going but not caring. They wanted to get way away from the thunderpath. Once they were out of breath, they stopped, sitting down near a creek. They panted, fur standing on end, Poppy trembling lightly.

"W-We-" She stuttered, "We almost just DIED!" She dug her claws into the ground, as if holding on to avoid falling.

Peach stared in the direction they came from, ears back and as fearful as her sister, but remaining calmer to set a good example.

"Sure, we did," She looked at her. "But we're still alive right now, so we shouldn't worry." Her voice quavered lightly but she tried to look strong to reassure the smaller she-cat, nuzzling her shoulder gently.

Poppy smoothed out her fur, calming down enough to breathe properly and she leaned into the taller one.

Peach licked the top of her head a little and looked around at the surroundings, not knowing any of this existed.

"Where... Where are we...?" She realized that they were lost.

Poppy froze, realizing this a few moments after. "oHGOSH- NONONONONONONONO-" She started to panic again.

Peach did her best to calm her down, but was having trouble keeping cool herself. "No- We'll be okay- We'll find a way home-" She looked up, seeing that the sky was a reddish color. The sun was going down.

"Ohh no... We'll have to take shelter here, there's no way we'll make it home before it gets dark, and I don't wanna fight anything, like bears and foxes-" She shuddered at the thought, looking around for somewhere to take shelter. She jumped as she heard the voice of a tom cat behind her.

A high pitched, young but masculine sounding voice came from the source. "Um... Hello...?"
