We bottle our emotions
Until we get home,
And then we let it all out.
The second we hear
Someone coming,
We wipe our face to
Hide our sorrow and pain.

This is the life
We live now.
For fear of speaking
Out against those,
Who have caused us pain.
We hide in our room,
Hoping the truth
Doesn't come out.

When we are asked
Questions about our day,
We lie hoping it will
Go away.

Our parents worry,
But not a word to
Them do we say.
This is our new
Life at home.
