[Kiersley's POV]
"Hey Kierse, there is something I have to ask you " my friend Lizzy said as we were walking to my friend Emmy's, house.
"What's that?" I asked her as I looked down at my phone to text back my best friend, Jake.
"It's about Jake" she said, I felt my heart began to race. What is it about people saying Jake that gets my heart to do that? I don't like him, right?
"Go on.." I said, not paying attention.
"Kierse look out, there's a pole" she said, I looked ahead of me and stopped before I could hit into it.
"Thanks Liz.." I said. She smiled.
"You're awfully distracted. Trouble with Jacob?" She asked, I shook my head.
"No, not really. I was just texting him." I realized what just happened when I caught the moment.
"Wait. You're not going to ask if I like Jake, are you?" I asked her.
"Whattt?? Pfft, nooo.." she said, I rolled my eyes.
"Elizabeth, you are a horrible horrible liar. Whenever you lie, your cheeks are redder than usual. I'm shocked your own mom and dad don't even know that. That's how Brit, Bree, Bray & Bri know you're lying" I said.
"Okay, ugh. fine. Yes. Britney, Brianna, Braylee, Brilee, Emerison & I want to know if you and Jake are 'friends', but it isn't just us. All of our friends want to know, even Jake's friends" she said. I felt less confident when she told me it was true, she wanted to ask that.
"No. Jake and I are just friends.. oh look, it's Madi. Let's go see her" I said trying to change the subject. We walked over to Madi. Okay more like I dragged Lizzy over there.
"Hey Madi. What's up?" I asked. She looked at me funny.
"Nothing. You okay Kiersley? You're red" she asked.
"What? No. No, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be fine?" I asked. Madi looked at Liz.
"Well?" She asked Liz.
"I asked her about her and Jake" Lizzy replied, my stomach twisted more.
"And does she?" Madi asked with a smile as she looked at me again. I sent her a fake smile.
"No, I don't." I replied. I saw Madi & Lizzy make eye contact.
"Madilyn. Elizabeth.." I warned.
"Relax cutie pie" Lizzy started. "If you say you and Jacob are just friends then I believe you. All of us accept and will have to accept that Jirsley will never happen" she said.
"Good.." I replied.
