I sat in the library, pretending to be reading about fantastic beasts. Of course I still don't know what was particularly fantastic about them because instead of studying I was admiring (Y/N) (L/N). In my eyes she was a goddess. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh could be mistaken for birds chirping on a warm summers morning.

I'd never spoken to her much. Sometimes after a quidditch match she'd congratulate me and if I was lucky we would end up in detention at the same time, which gave me opportunity to hear that wonderful laugh by telling her what dumb thing I'd got done for that time.

I was distracted from my thoughts by (Y/N). She threw her book and quill on the desk and pushed herself away with what was almost a scream. Her spindly fingers covered her beautiful face and her wonderfully curvy legs were brought up so that her chin could rest on her knees.

I got up from my seat across the table. I picked up her book and closed it, placing it back on the shelf.
"Someone's stressed" I smirked nervously. After the way she treated that poor book I was scared she might just murder me.
"I can't do it" she sighed and looked up at me. I could see the stress in those beautiful eyes, it made my heart melt just a little.

I held my arm out to her with a smile on my face. My heart was pounding but I managed to feign confidence.
"Come with me, you need to relax"
(Y/N) nodded and took my hand. She pulled herself up and slung her bag across her shoulder. Her cold touch sent shivers down my spine but her small hands felt perfect in my own.

Soon enough the cold winter air tingled against my skin. (Y/N) and I walked along the frosty banks of the lake. The grass crunched beneath our feat and the breeze brushed (Y/N)'s hair away from her soft features. The dark sky was lit up by stars and the moon was partially hidden by a puffy grey cloud. I lay on the grass next to the lake looking up at (Y/N). She looked hesitant but she did eventually decide to join me. A soft sigh rolled from between her plump lips. I could feel the tension leaving her body.

She looked up at the sky. She looked pretty deep in thought. I took the moment to appreciate her perfect bone structure. The stress had left her glassy eyes. The look of discomfort had been replaced with one of content.
"It's rude to stare" (Y/N) giggled whilst turning to me. A blush crept to my cheeks.
"You were so beautiful when you kept your mouth shut" I rolled my eyes to add a hint of sarcasm.
"You telling me I'm not beautiful all the time?" She pouted. I shook my head. I honestly don't think anyone could deny this girl's beauty. I felt more than lucky to be laying under the night sky with her.
"I do actually think you're really beautiful....and funny. I love your smile and your eyes, I also love your hair but I hate the way you hide behind it sometimes. I think you're smarter than you believe and I think you deserve so much more credit than you give yourself" the words fell from my mouth. It was almost like I wasn't in control of myself.

Before I could regret my spur of the moment speech I felt a pair of soft lips closing against mine. I rested my hand against (Y/N)'s cheek. I lost myself against her. I was engulfed by the floral smell of her perfume and her dainty hands explored my hair. It was like I couldn't breath but that didn't stop me because when you have the girl you love in your arms oxygen is over rated.
