She had forgotten how to talk, how to sing, how to walk, how to breathe. Every day she wore a mask, smiling and pretending everything was alright. But it wasn't. Her mind drifted back to that night and she forced herself to forget. But the memory still lurked in her mind. It controlled her.

Her hands shook as she held her silver saviour. The thing that helped her feel. She needed release. She needed comfort. She needed to forget.

Everyday she grew paler and paler. But nobody noticed. Nobody cared. Nobody would listen. For it seemed that she was invisible to everyone. Even her parents didn't care.

She muffled a sob and curled in on herself. She could hear them. Taunting and teasing her. Pushing her. Name-calling. Hurting her.

Nobody could see.

Nobody understood.

She cut too deep and she took one last shuddering breath.

The next day she was found with a smile on her face and a knife in her hand, surrounded by a pool of blood.
