Scottish Highlands - 2017
Greg had been right. Scotland was freezing at night, but the long summer days were beautiful. At night they watched the night sky highlighted by the Aurora Borealis. Eliza had definitely made the right decision.
The ride on the jet had been extremely exciting for Aurora and Eliza and Greg had watched fascinated by the little girls excitement.
Lady Grace had been amazing when Eliza had explained about Greg.
"Oh my dear, of course he should come. He is family."
When they had arrived, a car was waiting to pick them up on the tarmac. As they drove down the long driveway towards the castle, Aurora gasped. They were all completely speachless at the stunningly peaceful yet dramatic location of the castle. Lacairtam Towers was situated right on the edge or the sea overlooking a glorious sandy bay.
They had been taken to the doors of the castle and greated by Lady Grace, while there belongings that had been unloaded from the plane had been taken to the little house that was going to be theres.
"Oh Eliza, it is wonderful to meet you." She'd looked down at Aurora who was looking up at the castle cealing in awe.
"I see my castle has worked its magic on you already Miss Aurora." She smiled.
"It's amazing, like in a storybook." Aurora whispered. Lady Grace laughed.
"That it is young Miss. Now I'm sure you are exhausted from your travels so I will have the car take you to the treehouse." They all looked at Lady Grace with wide eyes.
"Treehouse." Eliza and Greg said together. Lady Grace began to laugh.
"Oh dear, it's just what we call one of the accommodations we have. Trust me, you will love it." They all looked skeptically at each other.
"Our secluded treehouse is perched above our glorious grounds in a 150-year old sycamore tree. It's the largest in Europe you know." She smiled at them and continued. "It is peaceful and tranquil, you will see. It's lavishly furnished and consists of three bedrooms all with 6 foot round beds."
"Wow." Aurora whispered.
"You know, I was thinking about you Miss Aurora when I was trying to work out which cottage to give you. It also has windows with views of the wooodland and the twilight ceiling means you can gaze up at the stars shining through the branches. You know at the moment, you will be able to see the northern lights dancing in the sky above you." Eliza sucked in a breath and looked at Greg smiling.
"I wish Brian was here for this." She said.
"Me too, but I know he is watching over you. He probably even helped with this move."
They were driven to their treehouse where all their belongings had been taken ahead of time. The treehouse was everything Lady Grace had promised and more. Aurora ran from room to room.
"Mummy, there is a huge circular bath. Come and look!" She grabbed Eliza's hand and pulled her towards the bathroom with her infectious laughter.
