Scars on shoulders and in the past

Before explosion-

"I love you," Danny and star looked at each other as 12 seconds where left. Suddenly a man with a red helmet/mask jumped in as there where 8 seconds in.

"Dammit Danny," he wrapped Danny's arm around his neck and carried star with one arm and jumped out the window.

The explosion pushed them to the next roof top and they rolled a little. Red hood pushed himself up and saw the building collapsed in flames and looked behind him to see the two teens passed out.

He went to Danny first seeing that joker broke his rib and his nose and a fresh bullet wound in his shoulder that was partly healed. 

His breathing was uneven but probably because of the rib. He went to star next and saw she had a broken ankle and cut on her cheek.

But from the hard landing Danny had his back all scratched up and star had the side of her arm scratched up as well.

"That damn clown is going to pay," red hood growled. 

Suddenly a figure landed on the same roof and red saw the batman.

"Their alive, I saved them," red hood glared at batman.

"You helped my partner with the penguin before, why?" Batman growled.

"Well your partner here was only six and petrified of anything and I wasn't going to leave a little kid in Gotham streets where he could get hurt worst," red hood growled back. 

The two behind him groaned and danny gasped in pain feeling the pain in his back with it being all scrapped up from the gravel on the roof.

"Take it easy kid," red hood looked down at Danny.

"Don't worry, you'll see me again lil sol-" he cut himself off with a small powder smoke bomb and disappeared from the sene.

"Danny star, are you alright?" Batman ran to them.

"Yea, I'm fine," Danny wheezed struggling to sit up.

"Check on star," he painted and batman kneeled next to star.

"Can either of you walk?" He asked. Star shook her head.

"My ankles broken," she whimpered as she held her arm in pain.

"Let's get you two to the cave, agent a and nightwing are there, batgirl and Robin are at mount justice," batman picked her up and Danny slowly got up ignoring the intense pain in his back.

"Alfred, dick, get the medical supplies now," batman brought in star and Danny weally followed behind. Dick and Alfred ran in with the first aid kit.

"What happened?" Dick ran over to his brother and saw the middle of his back was scuffed up and a little burn, his shoulder was almost healed from a bullet wound, his nose was broken, and a broken rib.

"Joker, explosion, got protective," Danny sat the ground and laid down not caring what anyone else would say. His back hurt a lot and he laid on his stomach.

"What are you doing?" Dick looked down.

"My back hurts a lot,"

"You have a broken rib,"

"It happens,"

Dick sighed with a small smile and picked Danny up and laid him on a metal bed near by. Star had the same on and he saw she had a bandage on her cheek, her ankle casted up, and her left arm was all bandaged up. 

Danny had the middle of his back bandaged up, tape over his nose, thicker and tighter tape around his ribs and back making most of his upper half bandaged up and gauzed as well as his shoulder. 

Alfred put an ice pack on Danny's back letting him lay on his stomach and star was next to him on a separate metal bed with an ice pack on her arm.

"Get some sleep you too, tomorrow is Saturday," Bruce told them and gave each of the teens a blanket and pillow.

Dick and Alfred went upstairs after Bruce knowing that the two are better now.

Star sighed looking above at the ceiling of the batcave. She felt something grab her right hand and turned her head to see Danny holding it gently with his left and kissed the top of it.

"I'll always try to protect you princess," he whispered and she smiled gently at him.

"As will I, my ghostly knight," she smiled at him and they held each other's hand as they fell asleep.

Star watched her boyfriend fall asleep with her eyes heavy as well but she looked at him shirtless and saw some of his scars and saw on on his left shoulder blade that was deep and looked like in battle he tried turning away but got hit there. 

Star couldn't think anymore because she soon fell into sleeps comfort.

11 year old phantom with a shorter version of batmans on his back was on a motorcycle speeding next to batman on his bike going as face as the two could go.

'We'll never make it...' Phantom whispered in his head as they raced across the snowy roads to an abandoned warehouse up a small hill.

'Come on phantom, you can go faster than that! Jason needs you!' He made his motorcycle go faster and saw the warehouse with hope in his eye. 

Batman went faster and the two made it up the hill and jumped off the bikes and ran to the warehouse with their capes flowing behind them fastly.

'Jasons going to be-' phantoms thoughts where cut off by an explosion pushing the two heroes back. 

Phantom saw a sheet of metal spinning fast at him and turned to dodge it but his right shoulder blade was hit deeply and was pushed to the cold snowy ground by the hot force.

Batman pushed wood off the smaller boy then the two went to go look for the second Robin. 

Phantom pushed a broken door off a figure and batman picked up a 15 year old bloodied and beat up Robin.... Aka Jason Todd.

"Jason..." Batman looked at the dead teens face sadly and phantom felt tears sting his eyes behind his green goggles ignoring the incredible pain in his bleeding shoulder.

"Jay Jay..." Phantom whispered.

"We gather today for the lost of a son, a friend, a brother, for Jason Todd," a priest said at a funeral with the clouds dark and everyone in black.

Danny was looking at the now closed casket with hot tears running down his face leaning against his older brother dick Grayson who had tears streaming down his face as well.

"He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten," the priest finished. 

Danny looked up at dick who had a hand on his little brother shoulder and Bruce was next to him grieving as well.

"I'm sorry Jay Jay, I should've been there sooner," Danny sobbed covering his mouth and falling to his knees and Bruce and dick immediately where at his sides trying to comfort the small boy.

'It should've been me, Jason doesn't deserve to die!' He sobbed in his head.

"Why does everyone I love....

Die?"
