[Invincible era]

"Hello?" his voice over the phone was as smooth as honey, and it was heavenly just to hear him utter one word.

"Hey Michael, how are you?" I bit my lip nervously, seeing as I hated asking for favors.

"I'm good, I'm good," he always had a way of saying the word 'good' that was adorable, "But are you? You sound nervous."

I sighed; he knew me so well, "I was wondering if you could do me a very small favor--"

"Girl you can ask me anything!" he hurried earnestly.

I wondered how did God bless such perfection in my 43 year-old best friend.

"Would you mind coming over to teach me how to play I'll Be There on guitar?" I asked hopefully.

"Open your door in 5," he replied cheekily, and I could almost see the bright smile on his face.

"God bless you," I breathed out before he hung up with a laugh.

"Okay, so should I play like this?" I strummed a chord, but it sounded as if my ear was bleeding.

Michael cringed before gesticulating with his hands a bit, saying, "Like, move a bit upwards, y'know..."

I blinked at him stupidly before trying once again, and it sounded even worse than before--if humanly possible.

He sighed in exasperation, making his way to me on the bed.

The atmosphere grew thicker; quieter as he slipped himself behind me, wrapping his legs around me so that I was sitting between them.

Slowly, his warmth dissipated onto my back as his arms snaked around my body, taking control of mine in them.

"Like this," his voice was much deeper and richer as his large hand encased mine, helping me find the right position to strum.

Nodding stiffly, feeling his stare on me as I began to follow his instructions.

Once I was done, I turned to see his face an inch away from mine.

His truffle eyes were alluring as he lovingly stared at me, his arms falling back to my waist as I could smell the incredible yet heavy perfume he always wore.

His fingers tenderly touched my forehead, brushing back a stray strand of hair, caressing my face with the back of his hand afterwards.

"Just call my name," he softly sang with such emotion that I felt my heart tingle, leaning in to me, "And I'll be there," he murmured against my lips, before sealing the night with a sweet kiss.
