 *knock* "Can I come in, Pet?" my Dad calls in.

"Of course" I replied tidying my homework away

"You didn't come down for any pizza" he frowned, "So I brought some up to you" he said putting the plate on my dresser.  "Are you okay, Kiddo?" 

"Yeah, I was just finishing some homework and lost track of time" I lied.

"Ah, so how are you and Tom getting along?" he asked.

I froze when I heard his name, " Uh fine" I replied taking a bite out of my pizza.

"Its just, well he is a good kid but he can be a bit of trouble" My Dad started, "He gets into a lot of fights and you wouldn't think it if you looked at him"

"Of course not" I replied sarcastically.

"Jessica" He started, 

"I know. Dad" I sighed. "I am trying, y'know"

"I know you are and I appreciate it" He said stealing a slice of pizza, "Just don't get too close with him"

"What?" I asked.

"You know, you're a girl and he's a boy" He said and squirmed uncomfortably.

"Wooooah slow down there, Mister" I said raising my hands, "Not a hope"

"I'm just saying" He laughed, "I just don't approve of it." 

"No need to worry" I nodded.

"That's all I need to hear" He smiled and stood up, "Well I will leave you to it" he said, made a funny face and left my room.

"He clearly doesn't like me" a voice said next to me.

"huh?" I snapped my head around to meet Tom's blue eyes. "How long have you been in here?" 

"Long enough" He replied sitting on the end of my bed.

"Creep" I muttered.

"Nah" he replied, " I only climbed in your window a second ago, you just didn't notice"

"Climbing in windows" I repeated, "Yep, pervert"

"I just like being near you" he said.

"And I repeat, Pervert" I replied with a duuhh look on my face.

"It's cute when you make that face" he smiled.

"I'm not cute" I snapped, "Stop saying that"

"Ah but you are" he chuckled.

"Why don't you go and find someone else to annoy?" I sighed.

"I want you, not someone else, Just you" He replied.

"That, will never happen" I frowned.

"It will, if you let it" He sighed.

"You should go" I said, "You really shouldn't be in my room with me alone"

"Oh?" He asked.

"You shouldn't" I gulped.

"And why not?" He questioned.

"Because" I started, "You just shouldn't, now please leave."

He stood up slowly and walked towards me, pushing me down on my bed gently and resting his arms both sides of my head.  He brought his face up close to mine, "Are you nervous?" He asked smirking.

"No" I whispered too fast.

He leaned in and brushed his lips against mine slightly barely touching them, "How about now?" he breathed out slowly.

"No" I whimpered.

"It's a sin to lie" He smiled.

"Sue me" I replied.

He leaned in again and almost pressed his lips against mine, I didn't move. Why wasn't I running away like I should be? 

"Have you seen Tom anywhere?" My Dad called in from outside my door.

Tom jumped up and ran to the window, "Say I'm in my room" He whispered and climbed out onto the tree and onto his window ledge.

"Uh check his room, Dad" I replied biting my nail.

"Good idea" He said and whistled down the hallway.

I waited until I could hear him knock on Tom's door and to hear Tom open it, I breathe out hard as if I had been holding my breath.

"Not good" I thought. "I'm staying well away from that boy"
