TODAY is Luke's arrival from his business trip so he invited me to a Dinner date tonight. He told me last week that he will be telling something very important. It made me very nervous and excited at the same time.Maybe he will be proposing at me? That's why he made a long trip to prepare
I look at myself in the mirror to check if I look presentable to the love of my life,I am wearing an embroidered sequined halter dress paired with silver stilettos.
I drove to the restaurant that Luke mentioned to me. I immediately spotted him at the vcorner side of the table wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt. I ran towards him to kiss his cheeks
"Hey! Welcome back. I miss you" I grinned
"Hello Tori" he greeted with a serious expression but he's still gorgeous
"So how's your business trip?"
"Oh it's fine.Do you want to order something"
"Yeah" I smiled and opened the menu book
"I heard that their pasta is good here"
"But you know i hate pastas"
"Oh yeah I forgot"
I furrowed my brows,How could he forget? He's just had his one week business trip and then suddenly he forgot what's the matter with him?
My mind suddenly changed so I ordered pasta even though I hate them so much. Maybe it's part of Luke's plan to hide the engagement ring so I don't want to mess up
"How are you? You didn't even call me when you were in Toronto" i frowned
"I didn't have the chance to call you. The signal there is a huge crap"
"Oh I see. Tell me more stories about your trip. God I missed you so much Luke" I giggled like a 5 year old kid
"Uhm there's nothing exciting happened there actually"
I was about to ask him again but our food suddenly arrived. I quickly shut my mouth and started eating my pasta.
We both ate our food silently. I was about to finish this pasta and I'm still tingling where the hell is the ring?
"Is there something you wanted to tell me Luke?" I asked suddenly
"Yes"
"What was that? You're making me feel so different today."
"Uhm Will you--"
"Yes! Yes Luke I'm gonna marry you! I knew it! That's why you've let me eat this pasta cau--"I nodded,excited
"Tori I'm breaking up with you"
I involuntarily drop my fork in the table and my face turned to blank expression.
He's breaking up with me?
Lord if this is a dream please let me wake up
Tears started to flow unexpectedly in my eyes "You're breaking up with me? Did i do something wrong?"
"No tori listen it's not you it's me"
"Fuck you Luke! Cut that stupid mainstream line. Tell me what's wrong?!" I exclaimed
"I guess I'm not the perfect man that you always dream of. It's just... I don't want to play anymore. This relationship is just a joke" he sighed
"A joke?!" I gritted my teeth in anger
His eyes were still looking down
"Tell me,Did you ever love me?"
His face softened after asking him my last question. I was waiting for his answer but he never let a single reply go out of his mouth
I stood up and threw the glass of water in his face "Thank you for letting me experience to be a contestant in your stupid game" and left the restaurant,heartbroken.

"Did you hear me Tori? I said Luke is getting married!" Karrie repeated and pops the envelope in my face
"You don't have to repeat it Karrie" I said with nonchalant tone
"I was just reminding you that you should fully eliminate every single feelings for him inside you heart" she sighed and sat beside me
"I know you do. But he hurt me so bad. The wounds he left is still alive in my heart Karrie"
"Moving on isn't a quick process tori. It takes to time for your heart to heal and be complete again. But in the process you should let yourself explore new things that will lead you to a new chapter and don't forget that I will always be with you in the process"
"I love you Karrie. Thank you so much for being here at my side always" I hugged her tight
"Don't be so dramatic. You know I will never let you be alone" she rubbed my back,chuckling
"Thank you for existing"
"Thank my father's sperm and my mother's egg cell"
"You're crazy!" I chuckled and break the hug to slap her shoulder
"I'm just kidding. So do you want to go somewhere later?"
"I know a better place"
"I bet it is"
We both smirk and continued eating our breakfast
