"Xavior!" I yell running towards my best friend in the entire world. "Xavior, guess what!" I yell again super excited. He turns toward me and looks me up and down with those gorgeous ocean blue eyes and all I here in response is snickering from the girls crowded around him. He turns away from me and starts to whisper with them.

"Xavior?" I ask slowing down; confused as to why he is acting this way. Usually he would run at me and scoop me up in his arms laughing with me. Maybe I did something to make him mad?

"What do you want geek," one of the hoe-bags asks sneering at me. I look to Xavior expecting to here his deep beautiful voice telling the stupid bitch to shut up and go away like he always does, but he just looks at me with disgust in his eyes.

"Xavior?" I ask again barely above a whisper, I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't even heard me.

"Seriously? What are you doing still following me around? Just leave us alone. We are trying to have a nice conversation and even just looking at you is making me want to throw up." He says with disgust in his voice. By now I'm close to tears, I don't know what to do, Xavior has always been there for me. He was there when I took down my first rogue and when my parents died fighting to save me. He held me while i cried and he basically took me in as if I were his mate. I thought he truly cared about me.

"Did I do something to make you mad? Are you making a joke? Because it's not funny," I ask letting a tear slip down my cheek. His eyes dart to the small drop of water staining my face as it falls and for a second I think I see a look of sorrow pass through his own eyes, but he quickly changes his expression to one of disgust.

"Seriously, get it through your thick head," he says taking a step forward forcing me to match it with a step back, "I never liked you, you're just another idiot girl that thinks she can get with me. I don't hang around losers." He says snarling at me. By now he has me backed against a tree on the outskirts of the giant forest surrounding our pack.

I couldn't take staring into his soulless eyes anymore. He was looking down at me as if I were dirt. I shove him off of me, my sadness turning into pure rage. I land a punch on his face breaking his nose Before I take off running. I look back at him one last time expecting him to be enraged, but though the pain of his nose he seams to have a look of sorrow and regret, but that couldn't be. I turn back around and ran away as fast as I could. Desperate to get away from his awful words. I thought he was my best friend.

I don't look back even once to see if he decided to follow me or stay and have sex with half the pack. I'm angry, sad, broken. I don't even realize the tears flowing from my eyes until I let out a loud sob. I closed my eyes for a second and trip on an upturned tree root. I tumble down a hill in a ball of flailing limbs rolling until I hit my head on a tree, hard. I can't see straight, everything's blurry. I just lay there for a second at the bottom of the hill about to pass out. I look up and see a boy. Xavior? No. This guy running towards me has a much bigger build.

"Hold on!!" The boy yells as he gets closer to me. By now my sight is going in and out and I can barely tell what's happened.

I hear the man gasp as he kneels next to me. As soon as he touches me, skin on skin, I feel it. The tingles run through my body. I strain my eyes to see who this mystery man is, "Mate," I mumble before everything goes black.
