"I have a crush on your mind. I fell for your personality. Your looks are just a bonus."
- The Notebook.※※※※
Roxanne Morton has a rare taste in fashion, for me though, since her and I never really have the same taste, but she always prefers darker colours around dark green and pitch black when I mostly preferred hot pink and cherry red, which suits along with my strawberry blonde hair. Currently, I'm examining her new mermaid floor-length one-shoulder dark green coloured dress in my hands right in front of her mirror as my best friend sits on her bed with her legs crossed, dreaming to be a Kingsman agent herself since the recruitment for being a Kingsman starts tomorrow, which includes her.
"So, how much is this?" I asked without taking my eyes off of it, and she looks up at it instead before she darts her gaze over to me.
"A hundred and ninety-five." She answers which makes me sigh. "Don't start. It was the last one, and I got lucky, alright? Besides, I suit green."
"If I were you, I'd be balling my eyes out right now." I mumbled and she rolls her eyes playfully at that. "Shall we move on to the next dress?"
"No." She replies in a duh tone as I ignored her by laying the dark green dress on the bed beside her before I took another new dress from one of the shopping bags as she just sighs at my doing, letting me do my thing.
"Let's see now.. oh my God." I gasped lightly in surprise when I took out a short mesh pleated skirt with lace strapless top and shouted in joy.
"Surprise." Roxanne says just that and I gave her a playful look as I pulled her to stand up with me, off of the bed, and checked it on her to see how well the width of her sides fit with this dress. "I knew you'd love it."
"Pretty hair, beautiful face, petite body which fits with a pleated skirt with lace strapless top, mmm.. you are definitely my best friend." I complimented her with a cheeky wink as she smiles at that while she scans my outfit for today. "Roxanne, I love this dress. Can I have it?"
"No." She answers bluntly and I pouted playfully at that. "Though you can borrow it, obviously, as how I say thank you to your compliment."
"Hmm. Thought you only go for dark green." I chuckled as she makes me hold the dress now as she sighs while she examines herself in the mirror.
"Well, now that you know.." She glances at the dress. "..I don't."
A moment of silence fills the bedroom for a while as she just stands and stares at her reflection in the mirror as I slowly laid the dress down as she must be thinking of the upcoming recruitment that she is dreaming to be a Kingsman agent almost all her teenage life when I told her about my training back then, even when Daddy told me not to. All I did was exclude Roxanne out of the term 'anyone' in my vocabulary at that, and I am truly sorry. A sigh leaves her lips and she closes her eyes shortly.
"You're ready for it, Roxanne." I said to her in encouragement.
"Being a Kingsman.." She turns to me as she trails off. "..like you."
"You've been dreaming about it your whole life, and that stops tomorrow when you're going to live it." I advised her as she smiles at the thought.
"Thanks to you." She points at me as I smiled at her.
"And I hope you already broke the connection with Hamish." I reminded her of her last current boyfriend that she used to be so obsessed with.
"Well, stop, because I did." She scoffs lightly. "Recently."
