I slipped into a car park in front of 'Healthy Head & Body' cliché I know. A familiar man in an overly expensive suit and slicked back midnight black hair had a grin on his face when he noticed me getting out of my car. "Nice to see you here again" Khan gleamed, pulling out the cigarette from his suit pocket. "I thought you laid off those?" I sighed in annoyance. Khan threw it on the ground and squashed it with his dress shoe, "Thanks to you I'll set a record of how long I can go okay?" a smile crept onto my cheeks as I hugged him. Khan has been a close and very supportive friend to me over the years. He's a very wealthy and well built man, he's taken a small business and built it up to an empire. He owns a research facility which specialises in animal to human heart and organ transplants. He earns a big buck each year since he has saved a lot of lives over the two decades he's been working in the force. After a bit of small talk I dismissed myself as I was on the verge of being late to Dr. Forster and trust me you don't want to know her when she's been waiting.
The automatic sliding glass doors opened and a chime echoed through the waiting room. A basic barbie like lady's eyes followed me as I walked over to her desk. Her name tag read 'Rin'. "Hello my name is Rin how can I help you?" her voice was practically robotic, tough day at the office. "I made an appointment to see Dr. Forster at 11" Rin started clicking away on her computer, asking for my name and yada yada. Eventually I sat down on the pale blue leather seats, which were incredibly hard on my ass. Not too long after I heard the clip clopping of heals on the wooden floor. Dr. Forster stood tall in her shiny red pumps, to match her coat. "Cameron Fairs" I sent her a grin and hopped you from my perch, following her down the long hallway.
I sat down on the bean bag, slipping off my shoes. "Keep those on you stink" Dr. Forster winked as she shut the door. She sat in her office chair and glanced over at me. "Now what are you here for?" she asked, reopening her laptop. "You're going to think I'm crazy but I had a dream, or a vision I don't know but I could feel everything that was happening" I tried my best to explain last nights experience to her, problem is I don't even understand it myself. "A hallucination? Or even some form of lucid dreaming" Forster typed away on her computer, my name and other shit listed in bold. "There was a man. He had platinum blonde hair, snowy white skin and wore these oversized white velvet pants. He explained to me that there's some kind of family curse running through generations and I'm going to be the next target for an attack by these demon people or something. I don't understand it but Dr I swear I could feel the warmth from his skin burning into mine and my stomach tying in knots when I looked into his eyes" Dr. Forster clicked her pen against the table, licking her lips a few times. "It just sounds like a night terror Cam, nothing too extreme"
This is the first time I've ever felt angry at Dr. Forster, she was the one meant to understand. "You don't get what I mean, it was real. His touch sent an electric shock through me, like nothing I've ever felt before" she typed a few more sentences then shut her laptop down. "Cam, have you stopped your medication?"
For a brief period I took anti depressants since I was severely depressed after my parents death. On my own accord, I decided to stop taking them as I felt better in myself. But that didn't make Miss Scotch very happy.
"Yes I've been off them for a while Doc"
"Did I tell you to do that?" she huffed, flicking her pen harder against the desk.
"No Dr, my apologies. I just felt better you know?"
"Well obviously not since you come in claiming that you touched an angel or something like that. Do you know how silly that sounds?" instantly I felt stupid, what's wrong with me?An hour of worthless chatter later, myself and Dr. Forster walked to the waiting room. "Give me a ring if you want to go on your meds again. You're welcome to pop by if you still feel, uh odd?" Forster grinned, shutting her office door. I grumbled, walking over to pay for my 'appointment'.
Khan to my surprise was manning the front desk. "Didn't know you worked here Khan?" I mentioned as I have him a $50 bill.
"Decided to make an extra buck or two, even though I don't really need it" he smirked proudly. With a smile I walked out the doors, letting out the loud sigh I've been holding in for that hour or so.Oh it's such a lovely overcast day. Grey sky and grouping clouds, definitely a pleasant atmosphere. After my terrific appointment I decided on getting something to eat. The main street was surprisingly not as busy as I thought. Smells from numerous restaurants made my stomach grumble louder than it was before. 'Montis' bright pink sign came into view, finally I felt at least 'ok' at the familiar scent of delicious food as I walked inside. A quite young girl waddled up to me holding a menu.
"Hello sir welcome! Table for 1?"
"Yes thank you sweetheart"
"It's not as busy today so you can chose the nicer seats"
I smiled and lead her towards a booth in the corner. From the window there's a nice view of the farm land not too far from Montis. It's on a corner so there's actually something interesting to look at.
"Flag me over when you figure out what you want to order" the waitress informed, dismissing herself to cater another table. Scanning the menu my eyes set upon red wine. Yes, it's only lunchtime but I need something to ease the shit show in my mind.
Instead of the cute waitress I spotted another person in the uniform approaching me. First of all it was a waiter, and it was Samuel. My palms instantly started to sweat. He looked identical to the guy in my dream.
"Hello Cam, are you ready to order" Samuel was written in bold on his name tag. This is fucked, he knows my name! I felt my mouth fall open.
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Oh yes I'm ok! Can I please have a glass of red wine? And can I have the coleslaw salad with crumbled mushroom and potato?"
He laughed lightly, writing down the order and checking his watch.
"It's 1:30, wine this early?"
"Why not? I need something to ease my mind"
To my surprise, he seemed like he was on edge talking to me.
"Guess you feel pretty stressed after touching an angel"
He pointed out my pale face and shaky body. Samuel sped off back into the kitchen. This obviously wasn't a coincidence, that is the man I've seen grow wings. No doubt about it. Considering I was the only one that knew I wasn't crazy, I knew I had to investigate this so called 'angel' boy.
Unfortunately, the girl had brought over my wine, Samuel was assisting other tables. Taking a big swig, I watched how delicate everything Samuel done was. Thank goodness it's Sunday, I'll be drinking for a while.
Finally my food arrived and so did Samuel. He sat on the other side of the booth, eyes on me the whole time.
"My shift just finished, when you're done I'm going to take you somewhere. I know you'll love it"
How did he know I was going to love it, we've never met prior to this. Unless he is actually the angel from my dream.
"Sounds delightful. May I ask you something?"
"Go ahead"
"Did you visit me last night?"
Samuel awkwardly laughed, pulling his falling fringe behind his ear.
"My dear, that's a secret for another time. When you're in better health"
"But I'm completely fine?!"
"You're not. I'll explain more later"
He got up and walked to the kitchen door, disappearing out of sight. Beginning to panic, I ate my food quicker, trying to only focus on that.Half an hour later I pay and leave Montis, not only confused but mortified. Just as I'd reachmy car, I heard a light cough behind me.
"Thought we were going to the park?"
It was Samuel, he was now dressed in a loose mint green sweater and what appeared to be tights. They framed his perfectly shaped thighs, causing me to sweat a little. He chuckled and interlocked our fingers together, forcing me to follow like a dog behind him. I couldn't move or let go of his firm grip. It felt like fire burning from his palms, like something I've never felt before. The sensation had me on edge as we jogged towards a large grouping of trees. This can't be good.---
Double update oh wow I'm so cool.
