Chapter 6

A/N: Sorry for the late update guys. I have been very busy this past weeks. But I managed time here's the new chapter for you all. Enjoy.

I shot my eyes open as I heard the screaming of the people in my dream. I sat up, rubbed my face and looked around. I was in the bamboo hut of Iwis, James must have brought me here last night. I moved the tapestry aside, stood up and went outside. I went near the river and saw that everyone was gathered around the ploat.

"Sleep well." Said a female voice. I turned around and saw Mason with her camera.

"Yep and you" I replied.

"Not so well." She said.

"What everyone is doing?" I asked.

"They are trying to start the engine." Mason replied. I nodded and looked at them. They all moved away from the ploat. As James saw me he made his way towards me and Mason.

"Good luck." Mason quietly whispered in my ear and left. I looked at her but she already left so I turn back to James.

"Hey." He said.

"Hey." I said and smiled.

"Sleep well?" He asked.

"Yes, better after two years." I replied and laughed, don't know what to say next.

"Do you succeed to start up the engine?" I asked

"Not yet but Silviko is trying still." He said and we started to walk away from our team into the forest.

"This place is really beautiful yet dangerous as you said." I said.

"So why are you not carrying a gun?" He asked.

"Everyone is carrying so I decided to do something different like this." I said and removed a rolled rope from behind my katana holder.

"What are you going to do with that?" He asked.

"When time comes you'll see." I said.

"Why do you keep other's in suspense?" He asked again.

"I like to surprise people." I said.

"Oh, is this your strategy?" He said stepping closer to me.

"Nope you'll see what my strategy is." I said leaning up to his face.

"I like how you keep others in suspense." He said leaning closer to my face and I could feel his breathe on me. He leaned more closer.

"Yesss, Whoo, we did it." We heard someone shout. I immediately pulled away and step back, I can see his face red as cheery. I smiled at him and walked towards our team.

We reached to them and saw that they have started the engine and Mason walked up to us smiling brightly.

"Silviko started the engine." She said.

"Great, everyone aboard." James shouted and walked away. Mason was teasing me with her eyes and grinning.

"Come on we must move." I said and we walked towards the ploat. I grabbed my bag and climbed aboard, I helped Mason to come through and sat in one corner.

After saying goodbyes to the Iwis we sailed off. I watched up as we sail and pass from underneath the stone wall and Mason took pictures. I can hear Silviko contacting to others on the radio. San and Houston was talking to each other, Victor stood quietly at one corner and looking around, James and Hank were looking around for any incoming attacks.

I was looking at the trees but suddenly snapped out as I heard the radio and the voice of Colonel Packard.

"Fox 45 where are you? What is your location?" He asked.

"We are in a ploat in the river sailing towards the north." He replied.

Suddenly we hear the screech of an animal above us. We looked around then suddenly Victor screamed. We turn around and saw that he was carried away by a giant bird. Everyone aimed their guns and started to shoot, but unfortunately the bird ripped his body parts apart.

"He's gone." James said and lowered his gun. Everyone lowered their guns too and sat in silence.

After a while we reached the river bank and met with rest of our team.

"Good to see you alive." Packard said.

"Yeah but one of us is down sir." James said climbing out if the ploat and helped Mason.

"One is down from our too." Packard said and looked at me as i climbed out of the ploat.

"Commando you're not carrying a gun?" He asked.

"I don't need one sir." I replied.

"So the refuel team will be at the north tomorrow we must make it till there." Houston said.

"Yes but we must get Chapman he is at the west." Packard said.

"No, no, no, no, no we are not going west, it is the place where the Skull Crawlers are." Hank said.

"Yes but I am not leaving any of my soldier behind." Packard said.

"I think he is right Colonel he has lived here half of his life, we should not go there." I said.

"Finally someone is wise here." Hank said.

"I don't care about him. Chapman is out here, what do you think Captain?" Packard asked.

"We'll check there, and if he is dead we will immediately go to north." He said.

"Come on lets go." Packard shouted.

I threw a death glare at James. Means how could he now put our lives in danger because they already are and he made it worse. I continued to walk with others. On our way I picked up four handful size of stones and tied each at the end of the rope which I had and hung them on my waist belt.

"What are you going to do with that?" Mason asked.

"You'll see." I said and continued walking.
