Don't you have those stuff that you do after school? Yeah I mean extra curricular activities. Well usually if you're aren't nerds or you're not having parents who ground you often you'll join the ECAs right? And, I think it's time for me to live a bit. Since I was 6 I kept focusing on my studies. Yes it took up a lot of time, but I still squeezed time to play the cello. Yes the cello, surprised? I actually passed the Trinity LTCL diploma already, and I believe that's shocking news to you but let's just put that away for now. Right back to our topic, the ECAs. I'm thinking of joining the school orchestra, like I've always wanted to experience stuff like that. A group of passionate people playing music together, how nice could that be? Guess it's for me to find out. Anyways, because of that I've applied for a place in the orchestra, and was informed that the audition will take place in three days' time. Now, what shall I play for the audition? Haydn sounds nice, but Bach's classic.... I'll go for Haydn then, the concert in C has always been in the spotlight when it comes to Haydn, I guess it won't hurt to go with it right?

[THREE DAYS LATER]
It's the big day and I'm ready. In fact, I was born ready. I'm never a shy person when it comes to music, cuz confidence enhances your performance.
*sidenote: your attitude decides everything, keep yourself a determined and humble attitude, treat it like a game, and you'll do fine! :)*
Hmpff.. let's set off to the auditorium.
Tho I said I'm born ready it's still a bit nervous of me while I was on my way. I kept looping the song, sometimes it'll be hypnotising but you gotta do that to strengthen your memories when you're actually memorising the music during your performance. Anyways, here we are. I can already hear the musicians communicating with their instruments. That makes me even more nervous cuz everyone sounds so professional, but it's too late to turn back now, face it.
'Jasmine Riven?'
'Yes?'
'You're up!'
Okay... here we go...
I entered the room, my hands are trembling.
'Hi Jasmine! What do you have for us today?'
'I'm playing the Haydn Concerto in C.'
'Fabulous. Show us what you've got!'
Take a deep breathe, but the bow on the string, and may the journey start.
I didn't think of anything. Just imagine myself sitting by the beach, facing the sea. The water is singing, it's enjoying my music. I closed my eyes, I could see the scenery. It's beautiful. The audition is not a test, it's just another way of performing. Well individually. And it all ends very quickly.
'Bravo!'
'Thanks!' I took a deep breathe. It's over.
'That's what we're looking for! The results will be out tomorrow. Thank you for your lovely performance!'
Guess I nailed it? Errr not sure, maybe they're saying the same thing over and over again to every participant.
I walked out of the room, and I saw the jerk. I can't think of any other names for him cuz firstly he didn't tell me and secondly he's been nothing but a jerk to me. How great. Wait... that jerk is playing cello as well?! No way! It's surprised of me to see him attending occasion like this and not to mention that he's playing the instrument as I do. I walked up to him.
'What are you doing here?!'
'What are YOU doing here then.' He casually asked me back while tuning his cello.
'I'm here for the audition.'
'Then so am I stupid!'
Jerk.
'Tyler Sulic? You're up!'
His name's Tyler. What a sexy name. Uhhmmmmm what am I even thinking about...
'Good luck.' I said.
'Yeah whatever.' He again simple walked away, without turning around with a thankful attitude.
See? The ultimate jerk- Tyler Sulic.
