(sorry guys for not updating in a while trying to Finnish some stuff up and have been super busy but here's chapter 4)
So I guess I made one friend today. I walked to first period and couldn't get the book out of my mind. All I wanted to do was go home and try to open it once more. Thankfully for me the first part of the day went by rather quickly but now it was time for lunch and i didn't really know who to sit with. I looked around the café and didn't see any empty tables. I went to turn around when i felt a hand grab my shoulder and spin me around. and there stood Lydia.
"Hey where are you going?" she said cheerfully
"I-I Don't really know?" and i didn't i was going to go find somewhere to eat lunch alone but i didn't want her to know that.
"Well I know where your going now!" she smiled at me "come sit with me and a friend of mine"
"u-umm ok" i stuttered when i was nervous
"Great!" she said jumping up and down all excitedly. She grabbed my arm and tugged me all the way over to a small table in the corner of the café. There was only one person sitting there he was a skinny kid but toned with light brown hair and brownish green eyes. He was cute but not really my type. He looked up as we got closer and smiled in our direction.
"Lydia you told me that the new kid was cute but he's more than that!" he said
"well sor-ree Will its not my fault I didn't know" Lydia told him then looked and me and introduced me "Will this is Alex, Alex this is William."
"Nice to meet you" he said sweetly and stuck out his hand for me to shake and I did.
"and you as well" i replied. For the rest of the lunch hour we sat and talked and i invited them to my birthday party that i was having they both accepted whole heartedly. So i had a few new friends but they couldn't replace Cory or Alana. The rest of the day flew by and when i got home nobody was there but a note was left saying that my parents and grandparents went out to get supplies for the party tomorrow. so i decided that i would go up to the attic and get the book and bring it to my room and hide it in my closet. Right as i put the book in the closet i heard the lock on the frond door turn and i scrambled to make everything as normal as possible. i sat on my bed and grabbed a book and pretended that i had been reading.
"hey sweetie!" my mother said walking into my room
"Hey Mom!" i said
"how was school? Did you invite any kids from school?" she asked hesitantly knowing that friends had been a touchy subject.
"Actually it was good and yeah i did two people Lydia and Will." i explained to her and she smiled
"ok sweetie that sounds good well get some sleep you have a big day tomorrow. Goodnight." she said walking out of my room
"Goodnight mom."

When i woke up i realized that today was Saturday and my party was at 3 so i had time to get ready and do whatever but i couldn't get the damn book out of my head so when i knew that i was alone and that i had time i went into my closet and tried to open the book but it wouldn't budge. I tried again and again and the same result the book would not open. Then i tried one last time and it opened just like there was never a lock on it. I opened it to the first page and at the very top in a very fluent calligraphy it read "The Prophecy of the Coven" and just as i finished reading that i heard my mother call me from downstairs. I looked at the book and then at my door and placed the book back in my closet. I told myself that i will sneak away during the party and read this prophecy to understand everything.
