Hey Guys sorry for taking so long to update but here is the second chapter I hope you like it.

After we landed we met up with my grandparents who came to pick us up since we didn't have a car and they didn't want us to have to pay for a cab. I haven't seen them in quite a while but it was a nice reunion. After we got back to their house my dad showed me to my new room and told me to unpack I hadn't decided if I wanted to or not all I wanted to do was look around the house and see why it was so special because my grandparents have lived here forever. My dad told me that his great grandfather built it so its been in the family for generations. So after I put my clothes in my dresser and hung my nice shirts in the closet I went to look around. The house was kinda creepy but had a nice home feel to it like most older houses. I walked down the hall and saw a string hanging from the ceiling as I went to pull it I was grabbed by the shoulder and spun around.

"And what do you think your doing young man?" asked my grandmother

"Nothing Nana, Just looking around a little. What's this string go to?" I asked

"Its just the attic nothing special really." She said

"Do you mind if -" I was cut off

"YES I mind very much there is nothing for you up their, Now go wash up for dinner!" she said firmly

"Yes Nana." I said walking away looking at the ground I never meant to cause any frustration I was just curious. But I did as I was told and headed to my personal bathroom and got ready for dinner.

......

It has been almost two weeks since I have been here I started going to the high school and I liked it, But I hadn't made any new friends. I missed Alana and Cory so much. I was about to walk into the kitchen when I heard whispers.

"We cant keep him from it much longer!" my grandmother said

"We have to try or else he could be in more danger than he is now!" My mother retaliated annoyance in her tone

"But we only have two days to decide because they will come and he will have to use them." I heard my father trying to convince my mother

"I don't care. He's my son and i don't want him near any of this." My mother sounded possibly on the verge of tears

"sweat heart he's my son too and you cant change his destiny." my father said to her trying to calm her down.

"As long as he stays away from the attic they wont come any sooner than planned." My grandmother explained. The room went silent for a few moments.

"what do you mean." my mother asked blowing her nose

"I mean unless he finds the book and reads the prophecy they wont come sooner than planned, it will be gradual." he explained to her.

"but the book is hidden right?" my father asked

"not necessarily." my grandmother added

"what do you mean?" my mother said wary

"well i never really put it away away." she said

"then what did u do with it? my father asked

"Its just in the attic."

my mind was buzzing listening to the conversation who is "they" what "book" and what kind of "prophecy". I was extremely confused and very nervous for my birthday. But i did know one thing i was going to go into that attic to find this book, Tonight.

Sorry again guys for taking so long to update its gonna be a little while before I can be constant but i'm going to keep trying.
