Chapter 6: I Will

Ariel couldn't believe what Jim had asked her. Ariel said in shock, "Marry you..." Jim said a with a smile, "It's the other way for you to become a lioness, is to marry me" Ariel felt light head and asked in shock, "You want me to marry you?" Jim said as he pulled her close to his chest, "I love you, Ariel. I want you and only you" Ariel was thinking about this proposal and asked with a sly smile, "Can I think about it? And I tell you my answer later" Jim kissed her forehead briefly and said with a small smile, "Okay, I'll give you time" Ariel walked away from Jim and as she kept walking she then noticed she was in the empty festival grounds. Then Ariel heard a voice, "Ariel!" The redhead saw Hiccup as he landed toothless onto the ground. Ariel said with a smile, "I see that you're done patrolling" Hiccup laughed and as he got off Toothless's back and said with a nervous smile, "Listen, Ariel, I need to tell you something...I..." Ariel then asked with a smile, "Yes Hiccup? What a matter?" Hiccup then gather enough courage and kissed Ariel on the lips. Ariel was protesting as Hiccup continued to kiss the redhead. Ariel then final pushed Hiccup off her and slapped him around the face. Ariel then yelled, "HICCUP! WHAT THE HELL WAS YOU THINKING!". Jim heard this not a far and run towards the festival grounds.

Hiccup then explained as he held her hands, "Ariel, Your beautiful and I can give you a fly in the sky. I love you" Ariel then said reasonably, "Hiccup I.." Before Ariel could finish her sentence Jim came running up to them and saw hiccup holding Ariel's hands and his face darkened and went in front of his mermaid as roared at the dragon rider. Toothless went in front of Jim and roared at him. Jim then said in a stern tone, "Ariel please leave!" Ariel then said concerned, "I'm not leaving you" The redhead then explained to Hiccup, "Jim asked me to marry him" Hiccup then said angrily, "What! You want to marry a monster!?" He then looked Jim whose face was still darken and said angrily, "She deserves a life, you selfish ball of fur!" Jim got very angry as he transformed into his lion form.

Jim lunged at Hiccup but Toothless paced onto Jim and cause them to roll and fight. Ariel yelled, "Jim! Tooth! Stop!" Hiccup hopped onto Toothless back and yelled angrily at Brown lion, "You don't deserve her, you beast!" Jim chuckled and said with a comeback, "And I'm sure she deserves a boy who rides a flying lizard!". Jim got out of the dragon's grip and broke free.

Toothless then shot fireballs at him but the lion dodges them. Toothless then running right into him and start to crush Jim on the floor. Ariel got sorry angry and then suddenly she felts something bubbling up and then yelled, "STOP!" as she yelled her powers blasted out pulling apart the dragon and the lion and sending them to opposite sides of the festival grounds. Jim screamed in pain worriedly as he looked at Ariel, "Ariel!?"

Ariel was in shock as she kept shaking her hands. Suddenly a lions roar came out of nowhere, "Ariel!" Shouted Sinbad as she transforms back into his human form. "Ariel are you alright," Sinbad said give her a hug. Hiccup got up and said, "What was I thinking, You two deserve each other! Your both monsters" Sinbad got very angry and walked up towards to the boy, "How dare you..." Before Sinbad could finish off his sentence. Lucy grabbed him and said, "This is not the time or place Sinbad" Sinbad walked back over to Ariel who was still shaken up. Lucy then said to her Gruds, "Take Mr. Hawkins to the Hospital and I have a few words with Mr. Hiccup here about what happened here".

Sinbad and Ariel helped the gruds pick up Jim. "We got it from here Mr. Hawkins. Your son will be safe with us" Sinbad nodded his head as he and Ariel watch them take Jim away. Sinbad then said to Ariel, "Are you okay? You're going have to tell me the whole story when we get to the hospital".  Ariel who was still shaking her hand in shock nodded her head. Sinbad and Ariel then head to the hospital.

As they got to the hospital the nurse and doctors were already giving Jim medical attention in the E.R. Sinbad got him and Ariel a cup of tea and sat in the waiting room and Ariel explains to Sinbad what happened, but left out Jim's proposal.

Sinbad Sighed and said, "And that's everything of what happened" Ariel nodded her head. Sinbad then said, "How are you? Let me look at your hands" Ariel then said, "It just  came out of nowhere" Sinbad said, "Don't worry this isn't your fault and let's hope he doesn't pull a stunt like that again" Ariel asked worriedly, "He hasn't fighted in age has he?" Sinbad nodded and said as he explained, "Well, Yeah. Before you came in his life, he used to pratices everyday non stop" Ariel then said, "What made him stop?" Sinbad then said, "You" Ariel looked away from Sinbad. Sinbad then realized, "Oh I have some for you" Sinbad give Ariel a letter, "Who it from?" She asked. Sinbad then said, "The timelord Lucy, she asked you to come to U&I to train for battle" Ariel smiled at Sinbad.

Then the doctor came through the E.R's doors and Sinbad and Ariel stood up immediately at the same time. Sinbad asked worriedly, "How is he doc?" The doctor said informally as he cleaned his glasses, "A couple of broken ribs but he'll be fine. Just make sure he doesn't transform until he fully heals". He then looked at Ariel and asked politely, "Are you, Ariel?" Ariel smiled and said, "Yes," The Doctor said with a polite smile, "He wants to see you before anyone else" The doctor showed Ariel to Jim's room and opened the door for her. Ariel saw Jim's chest and torso wrapped in bandages. Ariel walked in and looked at him. The doctor said before closing the door, "I'll leave you two alone" Ariel went to Jim's bedside on the left side of the room and Jim saw his mermaid as he opened his eyes. He smiled weakly at her and Ariel sat down on the side of the bed near him and hold one of his hands.

"I'm so sorry.I had to separate you from him as he was hurting you" Jim then quietly as he raised his hands gently to Ariel's face and said, "I'm not angry at you" Ariel smiled and leaned into Jim's touch of his hand. Jim said as he tried to sit up, "I'm angry at Hiccup but thank you for stopping him, I never knew you could do that?" Ariel then said, "Yeah same here" Ariel looked at her hands and felted weakened, Jim notes the look on Ariel's face and kissed her with fervor and Ariel returns a fervor back. The kiss broke and Ariel then landed down next to Jim on the bed and wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him on the forehead. Jim then said with a smirk, "Thank you nurse Triton".

Ariel giggled and then remember something she needs to tell Jim, "Jim I being asked to join Lucy army and I have expected, I going to U&I right after you out of here" Jim smiled a bit less and Ariel knew he wasn't happy about her going to U&I. She then quickly changed the subject, "Anyways, Did you get a ring?" Jim made a playfully smile and grabbed the small box of the side tablet next to him. As he opened the small box and Ariel's eyes widen as she looked at the ring. It had a silver band. Jim whispered in her ear huskily, "Look inside the ring" Ariel look inside the ring and inside the ring of bandit said, 'One True Love' Ariel smiled and continued to look at the ring and tears of joy came down from her eyes as she said, "It's beautiful"

Jim then asked as he held her free hand with both of his, "Ariel Triton, I Love you so much and I will keep loving until the end of my days with all my soul and I want to be with you forever. I know I'm maybe selfish at moment but I don't care. Will you marry me?" Ariel smiled grown bigger and nodded her head as she said, "Yes yes! I'll marry you Jim" Jim smiled grew bigger and then he slipped the ring on her left figure. Ariel looked at the ring on her finger and smiled.
