"How's it going, Babe?" Derek came into the bedroom with Hayley laying there.
"Eh, it's going somewhere." She shrugged. She had recently gotten over how sick she was and didn't really know what to do because she still didn't have an appetite nor a lot of energy.
Derek chuckled at her answer and sat by her. "Well, you know..."
"What? What do I know?" She sat up. "Am I supposed to know?"
He laughed at that too. Derek gestured down to Steven who had toddled his way through the ajar door.
"Well, hello, there." Hayley smiled and picked her son up.
"Momma feeling better?"
"Yes, I am." Hayley smiled.
The day proceeded into many snuggles and Hayley just gaining her energy back.
Derek found Hayley asleep on his shoulder a bit later, with Steven being preoccupied with a toy train he found. He carefully pulled out his phone and scrolled through his camera feed, remembering a picture they had taken earlier that very much resembled this moment. He found the picture and posted it on Instagram with the caption: "It's going somewhere...✈❤"
