a/n: thank you for those who have read, and liked the first chapter!! I do promise that they will get longer, that one was just really short for some reason.

Heading into the forest, I felt a chill course through my body. The trees looked dark, and gloomy, the ground wet with dew. I was going to a particular spot, one that I knew wouldn't be as eerie.

The river. Swift, and coursing, it was my favorite place. I could always watch it for hours, or until a Riverclan patrol came by. It captivated me, silver and gleaming, with power I could only imagine.

I was halfway there, when I heard a twig snap. I froze, and shrank into nearby bushes. It might seem a little much, but after the rouges that attacked windclan so viciously, everyone has been careful.

A shape emerged from the shrubs. It was small, but muscled. It came into the moonlight, and...

It was the cat from my dreams. Scarred, dirty, and limping, he was as creepy as I dreamed. But how? I couldn't have reviewed a prophecy, but yet...

The cat turned straight to me, and glared into my eyes, his bloodshot gaze boring into mine. And then, he disappeared.

No, ShadeStorm, that's impossible. It was probably just a delirious hallucination from but enough sleep. I shook it off, and headed to the river.
