Addam

I diddnt relize how long I'd blacked out.

"Where the hell am I?" I tried asking a nurse. She seemed startled at my question.

"Your in the hospital." She replied.

"Why?"

"You don't remember?"

"Remember what?"

"Hun... you saved the earth," a look of worry crossed her face,

" How can you not remember any of that?"

They told me he was awake, but won't let me see him. I wish they'ed have just not told me. Now I have to sit in the lobby waiting for him to come around enough that visitors are allowed. This place gives me the creeps. It's full of parents and family members huddled together, sharing tissue boxes. You can hear children crying from the little finger pokers, or their first flu shot.

Then theres the wails of people in pain. Thats what bothers me. Scence I haven't seen Adam, I dont know if any of the wretched sounds are coming from him. If it his pain. This is tourture. I finaly decided that I couldn't take this much longer. I gave the receptionist my number, and said to call me if any more news came, or if I could see him.

It was almost 8:00 P.M. before i got the call. I could go see him. I raced to the front door, not even bothering to grab my rain jacket, ran out into the darkness, and headed for the car. It felt like an eternity before I saw the the blue square with the little red heart in the corner. I dashed into the building and ran strait back into room C38. Adam wasn't a kid, but nationwide was the closest hospital at the time, and we couldnt risk much more blood loss.
