"Vanessa what part of Mexico were you from?" The history teacher asked making everyone face me

"I'm not from Mexico"I said a little mad

"Oh well I assumed you were since you are Mexican"he said with a little attitude

"Oh well not all Mexicans are from there , I'm actually from California"I said rolling my eyes

And before he could say anything the bell rang

Finally lunch!

I got up from my seat quickly and made my way to the cafeteria

Halfway there I see Derek walking towards me

"Hey ma"he said smiling and hugging

"Hey Derek"I said smiling

"Can I ask you something?"he said nervously as we walk to the cafeteria

You just did.

"Sure"I said turning serious

"I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with my mom"he said looking really nervous

"When?"I asked confused

I'm not sure why he wants me to meet his mom

Like I'm nothing special and I'm sure he brought more beautiful girls to his house

"I don't know but I was just wondering"he said as we sat at our table

"Hey guys"Sammy said

"Hi"I said back taking food out my backpack

"How do you always have food?"Johnson says sitting down with Gilinsky

"Shut up and let me eat"I said laughing

"What a fatass"the bitch Arely said sitting next to Nate

"Girl don't start"I said annoyed

"Awwe sorry brown girl"she said laughing a little bit

"Que te dije!"i yelled punching her

"Vanessa stop"Nate said looking at me

"Nah tell that bitch to stop"I yelled back

"You just mad because I have Nate and you don't"she said holding her nose

I started laughing

"I don't and won't ever want Nate.Keep him because I'm not going to fight for him if that's what you think"I said grabbing my stuff

"What?"she said confused

"Girl I don't want Nate so quite the bullshit. If he makes you feel like you need to fight for him,leave him."I said and I walked out

"Vanessa wait!"
