The ride to Jenna's seemed to pass quickly to Vic. He had been playing with Kelsy's hair, running his fingers through it, braiding it with clumsy fingers. He would glance out of the window occasionally, just to see about where they were. Vic didn't see, too focused on the girl in his lap, but Jenna looked back at them a few times, a slight frown on her face. They soon pulled into her driveway and Jenna got out immediately. She walked to her front door, taking the keys out of her pocket and unlocking the door. She left it open, waiting for Vic and Kelsy to come in.

However, Vic was struggling to do that. He didn't want to wake Kelsy, so he was trying to move her head slowly off of his lap and onto the seat. He finally managed it after a few tries and exited the car. He reached in, wrapping his arms around Kelsy's pliant body. He lifted her out of the car, cursing himself as he slammed the car door shut. She didn't stir in response to the loud noise though, so he continued up the path while letting out a sigh of relief. He walked to the door and saw Jenna still there. She closed the door for them and led him to her guest room to drop Kelsy off on the bed.

"Well, I guess I'll leave now." Vic said after he placed Kelsy on Jenna's spare bed, still staring at the black-haired girl. "Just...just text me when she wakes up, okay?"

Jenna looked up from where she was turning her heater to high. "You're leaving already? You just got here, though," she exclaimed. "You can't leave me alone!"

"I promised Mike I'd help him with planning Tony's birthday next month" Vic said, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "And, I mean, when she wakes up, you don't want, like, alone time with her or something?"

"No," Jenna whines out, crossing her arms. "Stay."

"I don't even really want to help him, really. I'm so bad at planning parties." Vic sighed in defeat as the words left his mouth, but he smiled a small smile when he saw Jenna's grin in response to what he had said.

"So does that mean you're staying?" Jenna asks excitedly.

Vic laughs. "Yes, Jenna, I'll stay here for a while."

Jenna smiles, "Good! Because usually you're off with Kellin, so I'm glad I finally got you to myself."

Vic's eyes widened at the mention of his best friend. He hadn't seen Kellin around in a pretty long while, where could he be?

"Hey, have you seen Kellin around anywhere? Or talked to him recently?" Vic asks, a subtle worrisome tone lacing his words.

"Um," Jenna starts, pretending as if she was thinking about where Kellin is, when really, she was fretting over trying to come up with a lie on the spot. She couldn't tell Vic where Kellin really was, so what could she say? "He told me he was going away to visit his family, so he's probably there, if he's not still here," she says, surprisingly keeping a straight face. Vic buys it, although a frown etched itself onto his face.

"You mean he left without telling me?" he asks, his tone soft and sad. Jenna immediately tried to lighten the tenseness that she had unintentionally created.

"Well, you've been without your phone so maybe he just couldn't reach you."

"But he still could have stopped by and at least told me goodbye."

"It was a last minute thing, Vic. He told me about it last night," Jenna said softly. "He told me to tell you, I just forgot about it."

Vic sighed dejectedly, understanding that Kellin might not have been able to say goodbye to him, but not liking it either way. "Okay, well maybe I can text him when I get my new phone later. Though, I don't have any of my old contacts," he trailed off suggestively.

"Oh, I can give you his number," Jenna said. As she was speaking, though, she realized that if she gave him Kellin's number, she wouldn't be able to give him Kelsy's number, which was kind of the main reason she wanted Vic to stay for a while. She saw how Vic looked at Kelsy and knew that if she got them to talk together, or maybe even go on a date, they would hit it off well and neither of them would be single for much longer. "But, I don't have my phone on me right now, I must have left it in the car. So I'll get it for you later?"

Vic nodded in response. "Yeah, that'd be great. Thanks, Jenna."

"No problem," she replied. So, do you wanna go watch TV with me, or just keep staring at my friend?" Jenna finished with a smirk. Her smirk grew when she saw the blush on Vic's face.

"A-alright, let's go," he stuttered out, speeding out of the guest bedroom and into the living room. Jenna laughed to herself the entire way there, laughing slightly harder when she saw that Vic's cheeks were still just as red as whenever he left the room to begin with. "Whatever, Jenna. Will you just start the movie or show or whatever we're doing?" He asked hurriedly, trying to get the focus off of him.

"Alright, Vic. I'm sorry for laughing, it's just that you guys are so cute," she said, going to get the remote off the table before sitting down next to Vic on the couch. She rested her head on his shoulder and turned on the TV. Vic wrapped his arm around her waist in a nice, friendly cuddle. They stayed that way, flipping through channels, until Jenna realized that Vic was repeatedly looking towards the guest bedroom.

"You really like her, don't you," Jenna asked, though it was more of a statement than a question. Vic's eyes shot from the door to the Jenna, looking panicked, before sighing, his shoulders falling, and leaning back into the couch.

"I really do," Vic replied softly. He leans his head back and groans loudly. "What do I do, Jenna? There's no way someone like that will go for someone like me, so I shouldn't even try, but I want to be with her so badly. I know I've only known her for a few hours, but in those hours, I've seen all these sides of her- I want to learn them all." Vic stopped after that, sighing angrily. "Just...what do I do?"

"Well, you could call her and ask her on a date, for one," Jenna stated as if it was the easiest thing in the world, though, really, it probably was.

"But what if she says no, Jenna?" he replied immediately.

"What if she doesn't?" she shot back just as quickly.

Vic is quiet for a little while before speaking up. "I'll call her later. Will you give me her number?"

"Yeah, I will after I get my phone, so no longer than an hour," Jenna responded, acting cool, but actually really excited for Kelsy. She was going to love Jenna after this.

"Alright, cool," Vic said, smiling once again. "Thanks, Jenna."

"Anytime, Vic."
