It's been one hECK of a long time since I had any activity on this thing. Anyway. I'm happy to be back.
So just a few notes:
1) This story was inspired by a friend of mine (see 4). It is a story that doesn't condone any sort of rebellious behavior but shows that the most invincible characters are actually the most terrified, which is what Jayden Morris is, but won't admit it.
2) Despite being a writer, I get bullied by writers block pretty frequently but LO AND BEHOLD DO NOT GIVE UP ON ME I SWEAR I AM AMBITIOUS IN THIS FIELD
3) DISCLAIMER: this story does involve mature themes such as the reference to and use of recreational drugs, mild language, and underage drinking. Please don't make the choices these characters make as they don't always make the right ones.
4) This story was initially and finally inspired and influenced by a friend of mine named Jasmine. We're not the closest friends (although I wish we were from what I've heard about her) but we hold mutual ones. I was told about her by my best friend and I grew so interested in her character that she became one. All information provided here is the accurate representation of Jasmine herself (minus the underage drinking and regular use of weed; she possesses only the good traits of Jayden, such as fighting for what she believes and refusing to conform to a meaningless society). And of course, I have her consent to portray her here. She hopes you guys learn a few things from what she's learned.
5) I may or may not have a playlist coming up for this story. This playlist will mostly consist of songs that built the character of Jayden (or Jasmine, even) and have influenced her life in many ways.
6) It's going to be a good book. I swear. Stick around.
7) IF I FIND OUT YOU HAVE COPIED MY STORY I won't do anything intense I'll just guilt trip you because I am very good at being passive aggressive and trust me emotional damage is much worse than physical so DON'T EVEN TRY
9) the whole book is based in San Diego county (the suburbs more specifically) because that's where Jasmine and I live so all descriptions are accurate ones. It's a living paradise for anyone who loves the ocean, good coffee, good music, and pretty men.
