Chapter 7. The True Strength of a Dragon.

Colins POV.

I had been separated from my brothers for a few days now. No comms from any of them, my heart leaped to my throat thinking what may have happened to them.

I have claimed three more serpent heads since landing and my brothers had claimed a few themselves. It has now been some time since I had heard from my blood brother and was now starting to get slightly worried about them. If they were lost it seemed that was the nature of the hunt we were on and there was nothing that I could do except avenge them and make sure that this serpent's nest was wiped out and could no longer take anything from the world again. It would be no easy task but I would make sure that it would be done and make sure that there were no serpents left. At this point in the hunt if one had fallen it would be expected but if all of them had fallen I was then duty bound to collect their master crafted choice of weapon and initiate their self-destruct to make sure none of their equipment could be used or found. 

I was quickly shaken from my thoughts as I heard a scream that seemed to remind me of those that I left behind and almost immediately leaped off into the direction of the scream with my heart with satisfaction as I knew I would slay any serpents that I found. I found a young woman of nor more than twenty-one years of age trying to fight off two human men the seemed to want rape the poor woman. My rage rose in my throat as I leaped at the men cleaving the first of them cleanly in half with my sword and then swiftly shoved it into the surprised man mouth and through his skull with a sickening squelch. The woman continued to scream as it seemed that these men were killed by magic. I chuckled to myself as I realized that I was still cloaked. With a shimmer and I slight click, the cloaking device that rendered me invisible turn-off and the woman's screams stopped.

"Wait your human" Stated the woman.

"Sort of, I am from Earth if that's what you mean" I chuckled as I cleaned my sword of the shirt of one of the dead men.

"How did you just appear outta nowhere and more importantly how did you kill those men," she asked still quite shocked over what had occurred.

"For your first question, A cloaking device that can turn me invisible and secondly I simply cut the first man in half and then stabbed the second one in his fishing gaping mouth" I replied as if the questions themselves were absurd.

"You make it sound like it is as easy as baking a pie" frowned the woman.

"No killing is a lot easier than baking a pie, especially if you have alien tech helping you" I muttered the last of my sentence to myself.

"What?" the woman asked not hearing what said

"Ahh don't worry was just muttering to myself, anyway what happened in order for these men to want to well try to rape you," I asked now squatting in front of the woman to look her directly in the eye.

"They seemed to think since my father owed them money and he was now dead that as his daughter that I owed them as well" she whimpered slightly as if speaking of her father caused her great pain.

"I see, may I ask how your father died," I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Can you take off your creepy arse mask first, it's creeping me the fuck out" she pointed at my mask.

Sighing as I did not really wanna reveal my face, I could see her point, I thought the masks were quite creepy at first until I saw what they could do. Reaching up to mask and clicking the button hidden on the side, with a click and a hiss I took my mask off.

"Wow, your gorgeous" she whispered as if she was speaking to herself.

"uh I appreciate the compliment but I am taken" I nervously chuckled

"Uhh right, anyway my name is Kristina but call me Kris for short" she blushed with embarrassment as well the disappointment showing on her face.

"I am Colin, a hunter of sorts and I now must be going" I smirked as I placed my mask back on.

"What really, what are you hunting," she asked now mildly curious.

"Better not knowing, trust me" I stated as I leaped away

"Hey, how am I gonna explain these two" she yelled pointing to the two dead men.

"Hunting accident" I laughed back as I vanished with a shimmer of my cloak turning on.

"Arsehole" Huffed Kris wondering how the hell she was gonna explain this especially since no one would believe some sort ninja saved her.

"yep," Kirs thought to herself, "I am screwed"she gagged as she started to deal with the mess Colin left for her.

"I hope he slips and falls" she huffed wiping sweat from her brow gagging slightly.

Yeah it was going to be long night for Kris and I did have to go, my helmet had notified me of a nearby location that one of my blood brothers could be located and It was vital that I go check as it said he was quite deep underground and that on a hunt is never a good thing. I searched for seemed like hours and decided to set a camp before it got too dark for me truly see it also gave a great opportunity to observe the area as well as the well as the humans that lived here. This was going to be long hunt but my strength would not waver as I was a member of the dragons and I would not be defeated this day.
