Hi- I'm Star. Someone told me to come to this "Website" or whatever it is to right stuff down. About supernatural stuff I mean, I hope this IS the right website.

Anyways, I'm 17 years old and live with my brother, mom, and dad. It's winter time here and my father was watching the news. I overheard that there was some sort of blizzard heading our way, but we were already prepared with water, an outhouse, non perishable foods, candles, and bored games.

It was late at night, I was the last one up, just browsing the internet when my computer suddenly shut down. I sighed, knowing what had happened. I got up to check the lights just to make sure. No power.

I let out an annoyed sigh and fumble for my flashlight. Once I found it I sweep it once around my room and then head to the bathroom, going to wash up before bed. With a bottle of water I brush my teeth, I jump as lightning flashes. But when it did, I swear I saw something in the corner of my eye.

I brushed it off as just the storm and darkness getting to me. I finished in the bathroom and laid in my bed, trying to fall asleep over the sounds of the storm. It proved pointless so I rolled over to grab my phone, only when I did, there was something- someone looking at me from behind the corner of my doorway.

My heart stopped and my stomach dropped, but as soon as the lightning flashed again the figure was gone as soon as it had appeared. A tear slipped down my cheek in fear, I swallowed the lump in my throat. I told myself again and again that it was just because it was dark. I wish that would've been the truth.

Because as soon as I laid back down, it was right in front of me, looking over me with to jittery pinpricks for eyes, black just completely black. It reached for me with unnaturally long fingers.

I screamed like Bloody Mary, it's hand lunged for my throat only seconds before the lightning flashed again, and it was gone. Just like that.

My family heard my screaming and ran up to check on me... none of them believed me. So that's why my friend told me to come here, from what I read these crazy things actually happen to real people. So why isn't it on the news? If people know about this, why don't they tell it?

Fine, I'll be the first. Even if they won't stop seeing a therapist. I'm not crazy! It happened! You people know too, all those crazy things you see in the corner of your eye?

Don't ignore it next time.
