Chapter 22

"Liza?" Will responded happily.
"Yeah... Sorry ." Liza said embarrassed.
"No, it's not that... I just didn't think that someone as pretty as you would want to call me back..." Will gushed over the line. Liza, of course, blushed because it was genuinely sweet. Liza thought about David and how when they held hands her heart raced and when their faces were close she felt like they were the only two people in the world. She pushed the thought out of her head knowing that David, would never feel the same.
"Yeah... I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies or something on your break! Or chipotle! Or just enjoy your break like a normal person without me, personally I think I would make it kind of annoying but I guess that is your choice ya know!" Liza said rambling as she walked to her next class.
"You're fine Liza. My break is 11:45. I'll see you then." Will said laughing happily as he hung up the phone.
Liza smiled as she walked to her second period class.
"Gab-" Liza said running towards her but she was instantly stopped and pulled around the corner.
"What the hec- David?" Liza asked surprised backing up a little.
"Hurry get down!" David said whispering holding his hand up for Liza to grab to sit down.
Liza blushed as she grabbed David's hand and sat down. She was nervous and checked to see if maybe he was as excited as she was about their touch. His face was focused, no sign of happiness. Liza sighed and pushed a piece of hair out of her face.
"What are we looking at?" Liza whispered leaning into David.
"Gabbie and Alex..they might kiss..." David said smiling looking at Liza.
She looked really pretty. The yellow brought out her skin color nicely and he just wanted to touch her curls. She looked focus and whenever she blinked her eyelashes fluttered.
"Oh my gosh I think they're going to do it!" Liza said leaning on David's shoulder happily.
A wave of heat overcame David as his cheeks became a bright red as he could feel Liza's head laying against his neck. It felt right. Perfect. Warm. Fuzzy. Lovely.

Alex looked down and started blushing.
"I like hanging out with you."

"Are you serious?" Liza asked while staring at David.
"I don't even know." David said while repositioning himself with his arm around Liza to try to make them unnoticeable. He had his arm around her torso pulling her close, and it wasn't even purposeful. Liza blushed while looking up at David who looked back down at her, of course blushing as well. They stared at each other smiling. Like they were the only two people in the world. They both sat back on their knees instead of on their hands and knees and stared into each other's eyes.
"I like this." David said turning a bright red.
"Me too..." Liza said blushing and reaching her hand out towards David. He blushed and grabbed her hand and squeezed it. It was small and soft. It felt perfect in his. They both looked ahead blushing, smiling like crazy people.
They both stopped looking at Alex and Gabbie and scooted back against the lockers.
They sat in silence holding hands while sitting against the lockers and smiling. But they didn't even notice the silence. Because they both were over the moon excited. I guess that's what a characteristic of love is in a way. It's the idea that silence or speaking, won't matter as long as your together.
Liza leaned her head on David's shoulder smiling while looking straight ahead.
He could feel the warmth of her cheeks on his neck and he smiled.
He loved this. He loved her.
Out of no where Gabbie and Alex come around the corner holding hands and smirking.
"Aww it's a cute couple!" Gabbie says squealing while looking at Alex.
Liza started laughing but David instantly let go embarrassed. He wasn't used to any one seeing him with his guard down, which he definitely was with Liza.
"Shut up, Gabbie." David said rolling his eyes and getting up while wiping his hands on his pants blushing.
Liza just stared as David did all these things in shock.
"What the h*ll?" Gabbie said rolling her eyes and walking over to Liza. She bent down and sat up against the lockers and grabbed her hand.
"Since he won't treat you right, I will." Gabbie said holding Liza's hand and walking her to class.
"God, you're my favorite person on this earth. I hope you know that." Liza said laughing while holding Gabbie's hand.
"Well I mean duh." Gabbie said laughing as they walked to class.

"You're such an idiot." Alex said staring at him.
"Okay, no! I don't even like her... I -" David said running his hands through his hair.
"Yeah, Okay David. But Liza isn't like Melanie or her airhead friends. She's a good person, and everyone loves her David. Don't hurt her..." Alex said as he pat David on the back and turned around as he walked to class.
David ran his fingers through his hair. He didn't know what was wrong with him. Years of pushing people out and faking feelings he created something even he hated . He wanted to hold Liza's hand and not feel uncomfortable in front of people. He wanted to be able to kiss her . He wanted to be able to hold her and hug her. He wanted to be hers.
He panicked in the back of his mind wondering if Liza would move on knowing that David was all messed up. He tried pushing away the thought but it kept coming back. It was like someone taking a small little knife and slowly dissecting his heart apart. It was almost painful. Take that back, it was painful. He closed his eyes and walked to class and thought about the only thing that made him happy. Of course that thing was Liza, but god did she make him feel.
He opened up his eyes, and there he was right in front of class. He could hear Liza, Gabbie, and Alex laughing from inside. He walked inside smiling, walking over to his friends.

A/N: Hey everyone! So it's been 2 freaking weeks, and I'm sorry! But 21 days till my birthday, and 28 days till Christmas! Another chapter should be coming this week or weekend because we haven't even got to lunch yet.... cough cough.
Okay this chapter sucked. (Sorry about the grammar!)
