The early morning sun peeps through the windows causing the smallest ray of sunshine onto Layla's beautiful tan face

"Im 18 today, no more rules, no more guidelines, no more anything!"
I roll over cradling my sheets for warmth and shutting my eyes hoping for this peaceful moment to last but soon it quickly stopped from a strange knocking sound at my window

"I live in my second story to? as if if there could be anyone out here"

I walk over to the balcony and peep through to see nothing?

"Layla over here!" I look up the see the boy next door in his balcony

"Jacob!"

Jacobs's pov (the boy next door)
I stare at her with a few peoples in my hand

"Happy birthday Layla" I yell across my yard to hers

She flashes her smile showing her pearly whites, with her orange hair blowing in the light wind

"Did I wake you up to early?" I check my imagery watch

She flashes me a grin

"Here" I throw a little box across while she clumsily catches it and opens it to see a box from pandora,

Layla's pov
I open the box to reveal the most beautiful necklace with a ruby in it
I gasped
"It's gorgous"
I then saw a little note, I picked it up and read it out loud slowly
"look.. up.."
I look up slightly confused only to see the most devil thing anybody could imaged

There Jacob was standing with his lips formed in a smirk with his brown curls hanging low on his face and him holding Long 3 water balloons

"Suprise"

I turn around and bolt to my balcony door only to find it locked by my sister
"happy birthday Layla" she stood there giving me the most innocent smile
They Were the last words I heard before I was bombarded with balloons

Jacobs pov*

The look on her face was priceless!!
she was drenched and stood there mouth wide open

I grabbed the biggest one and threw it at her waiting for the balloon to explode but it didn't happen
She looked at me with her amber eyes and gave me the cutest smile, she raised her hands in the air as if she one the lotterly

That was then I realised why
She caught the balloon

Layla's pov*
I held the balloon up in victory to see a ghost looking Jacob standing there
"Surprise" I mocked back before throwing it at him
The impact was huge as u could see the wave going upon him

He looked at me surprised but I turned around and flicked my hair sassily before my sister opened the door for me

"Give me a hug Stacy" I opened my arms to see her backing away

"it's my birthday, no need to be mean"

I stepped forward

"ahhh!! She screamed before running away out my bedroom"

I smirked and headed towards the shower.

"Today's had a great start"
