"Paisley! I've been calling you for five minutes! I hate you wearing those headphones all the time." My mother exclaims as she burst through my door.
"Whatever," I reply, "what do you need anyway?
"Your grandfather is here and we need to go to your brother's baseball game." She exclaims.
"Fine." I reply shortly.
She leaves the room and I pause the video I'm watching. Jenna Marbles will just have to wait. I hate going to these stupid baseball games. I truly don't care how good or bad my kid brother is at sports. Reluctantly, I leave my room and go down the stairs.
"Hi Bampy!" I exclaim has I run over to hug him.
"Hi pumpkin." He says as he hugs me back.
Yes, I call my grandpa Bampy. When I was super young, I was supposed to call him Grampy, but I ended up calling him Bampy and it just stuck.
"Do you want to bring the dog?" My mom asks.
"Sure." I reply.
I call my dog, Polly. She comes running towards me, tail wagging, ready to play. I grab her leash from the garage and hook her up. We then all pile into the car, and make the short trip to the field.
As soon as we get there, I'm automatically bored. I pull out my phone but soon have already scrolled through Instagram and snapchat through and through. Polly starts to get anxious, so I ask my mom if I can go for a walk. She, agrees and we're off.
I've always heard people talk about a huge cliff back in the woods behind this baseball field, and I decide to go check it out. After some walking around trying to find the cliff, it seems to appear out of nowhere. I walk over to it, and look down.
"Oh my gosh" I say to myself. This drop is massive. There appears to be some sort of lake or something down below, and a tiny little island a little bit farther out. I have no clue what lake this is, I didn't even know there was a lake this close to me.
I start to back away for on the edge, for obvious reasons. Then things start to get weird. I can feel the air around me changing, and all the birds go silent. I hear this beeping sound and before I can have a reaction, everything goes black. All I remember is the feeling of falling.
