I'm only in Miami for two more days. Two more days and then weeks without Joel.

"Babe" he yells. I look up from my food, "oh sorry what were you saying?"

"Is everything okay?" he asks. I nod, "yeah just thinking about when I have to leave." His face drops, "can we not talk about it?"

"Why not? It's going to happen" I snap. "Okay but is that really how you want to spend the rest of our time together?" he asks.

I shake my head. "Then let's move on from it" he says. "Fine" I mumble. I start picking at my food and zone out again.

"You haven't been listening to me all day" Joel says. We're back in the room now and he's trying to show me a funny video. "I'm sorry babe" I reply.

I roll over in the bed so I'm on my side facing him. He starts the video over and laughs through the whole thing. I smile at his happiness.

"Look look he falls" Joel says. I glance at the screen just in time and start laughing as well.
When the video ends he looks at me.

"I know you're really upset but it'll only be a month before I'm back home" he says. "That's a long time" I reply.

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder?" he says. I shake my head and laugh, "not helping."

"We made it this far we can make another month. Then I'll be back to bother you for a whole three weeks" he replies. "A whole three weeks? I might get tired of you" I say.

He kisses my nose, "that won't happen." "Sadly it won't" I reply. "Sadly?" he asks. "Just kidding baby" I reply with a chuckle.

"You get to see us perform again tomorrow" he says. "Estoy muy emocionada" I reply. "Verdad?" he asks. I nod, "seeing you up there being happy makes me happy."

He smiles, "being here with you makes me happy."

I lean up and kiss him on the lips. "Guess what?" I say. "That made you happy?" he asks. I nod.

We both burst out laughing. "We're so annoying. We are that couple" I say.

When I realize what I said I immediately start rambling, "n-not couple because we technically aren't one I-I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize it's all good" he says.

We sit in silence not saying anything.
"Well actually I was going to wait until tomorrow but uh Leslie baby will you be my girlfriend? I know this isn't exactly super romantic I'm-"

"Yes!" I exclaim. "Really?" he asks. "Yes Joel I will be your girlfriend" I reply.

He smiles widely and cheers. He then wraps his arms around my body and pulls me up to kiss him.

"My girlfriend is the best kisser in the world" he says. "Funny because my boyfriend is the best kisser in the world" I reply.

We both laugh again.
"You're right we are that couple" Joel replies.
